Letters from the Park (Spanish: Cartas del parque) is a 1988 Cuban drama film directed by Tomás Gutiérrez Alea.[1] The film was selected as the Cuban entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 61st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.[2]

Plot

In 1913 Cuba, two young people who are in love communicate through letters written by a penman. When the young man leaves town, to become a pilot, the girl discovers she is really in love with the man who wrote the letters.[3]
