Roman numerals

[edit]

Good enough for the ABC, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, Fox Sports, The Herald Sun, so good enough for Wikipedia. Thanks for that pointless exercise. Do you even read about footy?--Jeff79 (talk) 10:28, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding the roman numerals to me looks gimmicky and adds unnecessary style to this article (thats why they're shown like that in media articles), so there's nothing wrong with using just worded numbers. Roman numerals also don't really have the desired effect in Arial font or most other sans-serif fonts as they are shown on Wikipedia. Just to show my point, Game Three or Game III. -- Narconarco1 (talk) 13:26, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Leave them alone, we've written 30 articles covering 30 years of SoO series using I, II and III. Are you going to go through and change them all because you think they look "gimmicky" ? -Sticks66 08:24, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Footnotes

[edit]

I've added Wiki-formatted footnotes instead of artificial superscript. Can we keep them in place, please?
Cashie (talk) 03:55, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see the usefulness of Wiki-formatted footnotes in many other articles but I don't find them entirely effective or necessary in this article. Instead of footnotes shown at the bottom of the page they are easier read below each table. Also player numbers aren't needed since they are almost the same as their respected positions, any changes should be noted below. Narconarco1 (talk) 11:08, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What's it mean ?

[edit]

The Maroons' loss meant that they lost in Sydney for the first time since Game I, 2008 and thus was their lowest total score since Game I, 2004 . Is the suggestion that because it is their 1st loss in Sydney since Game I, 08 then this is somehow their lowest total score ? What is a "total score" anyway ? Is that the score or the accumulated total of scores in the series to date ? -Sticks66 08:19, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
