Notes

[edit]

This is a new page which we will be adding to on a daily basis. Autoflowering cannabis is so different from the photoperiod strains discussed on other pages that we feel it truly needs its own page. please do not merge this with cannabis cultivation

i am in the process of getting permission to post pictures which should liven things up some. Please do not make any changes to benefit your specific brand of autoflowering seed or vendor store. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrisgedwards (talkcontribs) 22:08, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

regarding article deletion

[edit]

Autoflowers are a notable subject, the online forums and seed market are a clear indicator of this. I apologize if the article reads like advertising, i will go through and add more of the concerns that people have about autoflowers in order to balance it out. If anyone wants to change wording so as not to change the content but to make it read more like an encyclopedia article, please do.

I removed the "reference" that somebody added which was obviously an ad. I put the world of seeds ad up because the website is referenced regarding abundance of these plants. i have nothing to do with the company. here is a quote regarding notability from a discussion on this article from autoflower.net a very active, free online public community.

"I'd hate to see it lumped in with general cannabis growing. People need to know these are different, have their own growing requirements and are at least equal, if not superior, to photos in many ways. I've got a stickied thread in the New Growers forum on the life cycle of autos. Would that be useful? user Muddy 1-15-2012 from: https://www.autoflower.net/forums/f16/new-wikipedia-autoflowering-cannabis-page-5767.html

Before going as far as deleting a meaningful entry lets allow some time for other to chime in on its importance or its lack of notability.

No reliable sources

[edit]

None of the listed references appears to be a reliable source. The lack of inline citations is not really an issue when the entry as a whole fails Verifiability. This apparent lack of reliable sources also brings notability into question. There's certainly no indication that this topic is notable enough to warrant it's own entry.

We will need to identify some reliable sources and establish notability in order to avoid nomination for deletion. Chondrite (talk) 06:05, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

change this part

[edit]

someone needs to change this at the very bottom of the article "Autoflowering cannabis plants often have more CBD, a cannabinoid involved with the pain killing effects and sedation. The theraputic benefits of cultivating a plant with inherently higher levels of CBD is a no brainer for MMJ growers seeking a more narcotic effect.[citation needed]" there is no published research that backs this up, there is no source, and the "no brainer" part doesn't sound proper for an encyclopedia article. 68.188.200.62 (talk) 00:47, 28 October 2013 (UTC)sk![reply]

I have removed " The theraputic benefits of cultivating a plant with inherently higher levels of CBD is a no brainer for MMJ growers seeking a more narcotic effect", I agree re no brainer being unencyclopedic, plus why is it a no-brainer anyway, doesnt really make sense either♫ SqueakBox talk contribs 00:53, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the section and added a request for references when CBD is mentioned in the Advantages section. I see no need for a separate section on CBD, especially when there is no supporting source. Jojalozzo 02:43, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Does it go back to growth after flower or does it die off 139.216.58.112 (talk) 04:21, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
