Hypocrisy

[edit]

Why is it that we need multiple criticisms of the game from "credible" sources, yet we only need one anonymous review praising the game? Although there's a citation included, the reviewer is never named, meaning the source for the positive review is not credible.

Please get your values straight. Don't hold the opposition to higher standards than the yes-men. If you're going to include positive reviews you must include negative ones too. Randy R. 17:25, 14 June 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.47.161.254 (talk) [reply]

We've included a negative review, albeit not about the game. The section exists and a complementary one was added to balance the article. As more reviews of the game come available, we can add them.Tommyboy1215 (talk) 02:47, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism

[edit]

Should we dedicate an entire section to criticism when it's the opinion of one professor? Tommyboy1215 (talk) 17:07, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have been doing some reading about this game since I heard its announcement in E3. To be honest, this criticism is bound to occur with a few different individuals, but I don't see respectable sources online making these same type of criticisms. If a local professor in my community has a different opinion about Blackwater, is it worth creating a "Praise" section for this page? PSBFAN21 (talk) 20:05, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and corrected the citation. The information listed under the criticism section is that of an Iraqi Professor. With that said, it may be in violation of WP:MINORITY. PSBFAN21 (talk) 20:12, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Like you, I am concerned that we are violating WP:MINORITY by including the professor's statements. If more speak out against the game, then a section dedicated to criticism would work. However, at this stage, it seems premature.Tommyboy1215 (talk) 20:32, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm wondering whether or not a section dedicated to criticism should be on this page since the criticism is directed toward Blackwater Worldwide (Xe) and not the game itself. Tommyboy1215 (talk) 23:04, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
