A goof

[edit]

Dr. Mephisto claims that the father could be (among others) the 1991 Denver Broncos. But the voiceover at the end claimed they were the 1989 Denver Broncos. Where should this be incorporated into the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.107.243.233 (talk) 21:54, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no youve got it wrong, dr mephisto claims it could be the 1989 denver broncos while the voice over claims it as the 1991 denver broncos, 01/02/2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.201.187.172 (talk) 05:02, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Hello. I'll be reviewing this article. Check out Talk:I Married Marge/GA1 for how I'm going to be organizing this. Let's start. The Flash {talk} 00:44, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

[edit]
  • ""Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut" is the 13th and finale episode of South Park's first season, it first aired[...]" -> "[...]first season. It first[...]"
  • "He discovers that his father is most likely a man, his mother[...]" -> "[...]a man his mother[...]"
  • Wikilink to David A. Goodman
  • "The episode met with positive responses[...]" -> "[...]was met with positive[...]"

Plot

[edit]
  • Can you make the transition from Kenny, Kyle, and Stan filming Cartman to Cartman wondering about his father flow better?
  • Wikilink to Denver Broncos

Production

[edit]
  • I'm not liking the quality of File:Jay Leno (1993) by Alan Light.jpg - be better to replace it with File:JayLeno.jpg or {{double image|right|TreyParker-2007.jpg|130|David A. Goodman by Gage Skidmore.jpg|130|[[Trey Parker]] (left) and [[David A. Goodman]] (right) wrote "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut".}}
  • Wikilink to David A. Goodman, once more
  • It would be better just to put a section called "References," with the book, and make the current one "notes" - then make all book references simply Weinstock
  • I quite confused with the wording for the guest appearance. It doesn't flow well. Can you clear it up and explain why Clooney's appearance is important.
  • "[...]the song used at "The Drunken Barn Dance", Walters was romantically[...]" -> "[...]"The Drunken Barn Dance." Walters was[...]"
  • "However, instead of continueing the episode's[...]" -> "of continuing"

Theme

[edit]
  • "Thus confirming a theory by Paul Cantor[...]" -> "This confirmed[...]"

Release and reception

[edit]
  • "[...]the United States on cable television channel Comedy Central[...]" -> "[...]on the cable television channel[...]"
  • Move the complete week marathon ratings to before the Canada info.
  • Season two's best episodes? Don't you mean season one?
  • "In a top ten, compiled by Chicago Tribune reporter Allan Johnson, regarding South Park's best episodes[...]" -> "In a top ten list of South Park episode[...]"

The song by Toddy Walters

[edit]

Shouldn't it be mentioned somewhere that the song is a direct rip-off of Céline Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", but with altered lyrics? Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:20, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
