Space opera?

[edit]

I think that the series classifies as a space opera. Comments? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:14, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal Boy?

[edit]

In Namco arcades, his name was written as Crystal Bowie.... (although I don't have a proof of this yet)

But where is the proof that his name was Crystal Boy?

(I haven't benn able to read any of Cobra's mangas so if this is a widely known name any small scan from an english manga would be ok to proof it) Nggak (talk) 20:52, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just checked my copies of the Viz release of the manga: it's "Crystal Boy".--SeizureDog (talk) 00:20, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to Buichi Terasawa's Official Site, his name is Crystal Bowie, I'll add it for reference. I think his name was changed on translation. Nggak (talk) 10:19, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Salamander

[edit]

Actually, in the final episode (31) of the Space Adventure Cobra anime, Cobra breaks a screen and finds the 3000 year old driving force of Salamander: some mustached man with a swastika armband (guess who). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.155.15.137 (talk) 20:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Games?

[edit]

What about the games which weren't translated to Japanese? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tcaudilllg (talkcontribs) 15:40, December 2, 2008

Don't you mean from? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:59, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inspired Story?

[edit]

I just read this Wiki article and thought that the Cobra synopsis is similar to the Total Recall movie. Total Recall is based on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". Is Cobra inspired by that story?174.6.130.25 (talk) 06:12, 3 August 2009 (UTC)BeeCIer[reply]

Well, could be, but we'd need a source to add the info in. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 08:32, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I came to the talk page to ask why is there no reference to Philip K. Dick in this English language article... Even the Spanish article mentions it. --80.108.24.173 (talk) 21:19, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's mostly because the English-language Wikipedia frequent and trusted editors for anime and manga are among the most obsessive in requiring "reliable sources" on the entire site. They'll revert even the most trivial and obvious fact if it doesn't have an explicit source, so naturally something a bit more speculative is going to require a source, even if the similarity does seem pretty apparent. They're leading forces in the creeping stasis and conservatism of modern Wikipedia; it's not like it was when it started out.

List of episodes

[edit]

Any reasons why the list of episodes has been removed? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Super Agent

[edit]

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobra_(Manga) says that over there it was called "Super Agent Cobra". Should we list that? Ranze (talk) 00:30, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
