Hello, 3birds3, and thank you for your suggestions. I am declining this edit request because it has a strong slant in favor of Criteo; in other words, your proposed text is too promotional and does not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing or public relations, but the purpose of your proposed text is clearly to win over prospective customers and investors. As such, it cannot be added to the article unless it is substantially rewritten. The most obvious red flags are tactics that are frequently used in press releases, but are not appropriate for an encyclopedia. These promotional terms include phrases such as "industry-leading" and "market expertise," and I am not a fan of using industry awards to promote Criteo's image either. Just as importantly, watch out for sentences that sound vaguely positive, but don't actually tell the reader anything specific. They should be condensed and written more tersely. Because this draft is too promotional, I cannot approve incorporating it into the article. Altamel (talk) 19:46, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information to be added or removed: This is to replace the entire page - it is outdated and per Wikipedia, is written like an advertisement. Please replace with the following: 3birdsllc (talk) 19:17, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - That draft was more promotional than what is currently in the article after recent cleanup. Since the draft was breaking this talk page's layout, I removed it. It is available in the history at [1] If you would like to submit another full replacement draft, please use your sandbox, but I think you would have more success starting with small changes in a 'change X to Y' format. - MrOllie (talk) 14:10, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since this request has been answered, I am closing this ticket. Another request can be filed by following the instructions at Template:Request edit/Instructions. Z1720 (talk) 20:37, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information to be added or removed: Replace first three sentences (above History) to the following: Criteo is an advertising technology company that enables online display advertisements. The company was founded and is headquartered in Paris, France, and serves clients across 95 countries in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

Add this to the end of the History section: In 2019, Megan Clarken is appointed CEO.

Explanation of issue: The company has services beyond retargeting, as reported in their Q3 2020 earnings call. Per the call transcript: "New solutions grew 43% in Q3, representing 19% of our total business on a revenue ex-TAC basis. This is largely driven by Retail Media, which sees continued strong adoption with brands and retailers and grew close to 60%, driven by strong demand from CPG and reflecting its growing strategic value for brands."

The current History section makes no mention of the new CEO, who joined in 2019.

@3birdsllc: regarding the part about the removal of the lead, I would like to ask for a suitable replacement of the lead instead. Additionally, the Product section should be fleshed out as well to reflect the expansion in the offerings, so that the replaced lead about its expanded services is supported accordingly.
as for the History section, in addition to Megan Clarken, I have taken the liberty to fill some blanks. i.e. it made no mention of Rudelle returning as CEO and his tranformation plan. Feel free to suggest addition edits. – robertsky (talk) 16:46, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information to be added or removed:

Please change lead to "Criteo is an advertising technology company that enables online display advertisements. The company was founded and is headquartered in Paris, France, and serves clients across 95 countries in the Americas, EMEA and APAC."

Please add the following to the Product section:

  • In 2020, Criteo launched the Traffic Generation Solution allowing advertisers to reach potential consumers using purchase intent data. The company also launched its Global Partnership Program.
  • In 2020, Criteo launched a self-service ad platform for its Criteo Retail Media division that allows advertisers to purchase media space on retailers’ websites.
  • Criteo Direct Bidder is the company’s header bidding technology that is connected to over 4,600 publishers across Web and App.

Explanation of issue: Current lead is limited to retargeting, but company has since expanded its set of offerings. New lead and additions to the Product section better speak to the additional offerings.
