Van Haute was one of the 650 recipients of a specially struck gold-plated medal awarded by President Carter to the United States Summer Olympic Team of 1980 because of the boycott of The Russian Summer Olympics of 1980. I have not included this info into the article since I can not verify. I know it to be a fact but I cannot prove it. Any ideas? Buster Seven Talk 19:43, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
