Year of the film

[edit]

This film is from 1953 and not from 1955 as stated in the heading. Kindly rectify the same.Somesh virgo (talk) 11:16, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What is your reliable source to justify this change? BollyJeff | talk 15:30, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Setting of Film

[edit]

The plot summary states that the film is set "during feudal times" and then follows that up immediately with the specification that the events take place in the "early 1900s." As far as South Asian historiography is concerned, those two descriptions are mutually exclusive. The early 1900s were far from feudal times, even if some residual social structures remained from those days. Even if someone wanted to claim that the early 1900s were feudal, however, the point remains that the doubling of the time frame is redundant, and the more specific "early 1900s" should be preferred as the sole designation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:240:8100:AE39:B81F:F44F:A883:CF6A (talk) 00:05, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
