Context.

[edit]

I've been trying to research this topic as a foreigner. One thing that's lacking in scope that I had to read in books to understand is the context. When reading these articles the first thing I wondered was "What conditions were British POW's treated by the IRA?" only to discover that they were, mostly, murdered most brutally. These articles read one side of the story, these men were terrorists and not innocent political prisoners. Many killed innocent women and children or conspired to bomb places. So them getting ANY rights in prison is pretty amazing. If they were in the USA they'd be in Guantanamo or a black site somewhere being beaten with a hose for the next twenty years. Especially given how brutally they murdered their enemies POWs. 121.210.33.50 (talk) 08:49, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you're looking for opposition to the IRA, go to their main article, otherwise, leave your arguments elsewhere, as including it could be considered unbiased Mandatorymist77 (talk) 20:16, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
