Coat of Arms of the Mughal Empire

[edit]
File:Imperial Coat of Arms of the Mughal dynasty.png
The Coat of Arms of the Mughal Empire contains the Crescent and Star that would later become the symbol of the Muslim League and eventually Pakistan.

reference

[edit]

I cannot see reference 6. I would like a valid reference for the text. 6 is used for citation a few times...--YoshWK (talk) 08:41, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Designer of the Flag?

[edit]

The article currently mentions that some Amiruddin Kidwai designed the flag and used this ref:

I removed the ref (per WP:CIRCULAR) as it was clearly content copied from Wikipedia. Even the Kidwai article uses this ref "Encyclopedia of Pakistanika By Qsim Mehmood" to say that he designed the flag but the ref is unverifiable.

The only official/govt. ref in the article (https://web.archive.org/web/20080117160833/http://www.pak.gov.pk/Flag.aspx) mentions that Jinnah designed the flag.

Some information can be found on Flags of the World as to who designed the flag but it lists three designers (Kidwai, Jinnah, and one Altaf Hussain) and the information is ambiguous at best. In light of this I suggest that Kidwai be removed from the article as the designer of the flag unless a reliable source which explicitly states so can be found.
