Inconsistency With Regard to Height Record

[edit]

This article currently claims that GASM held the height record for looping roller coasters. This is inconsistent with the list of records on Wikipedia, which does not regard GASM as having ever held that title. It shows the overall height record as having passed from Dragon Mountain to Magnum. Dragon Mountain is taller than GASM and is a looping coaster, thus it seems that GASM never held the looping coaster height record. DM does not have nearly as long a drop as GASM, though. Perhaps the article could be edited to clarify this issue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bunnyhugger (talkcontribs) 18:29, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Being moved to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom? I don't think so. That park isn't even going to be half-open next year, if at all, and construction photos on Facebook make it pretty clear it's coming down for good. Besides, KK already had a big coaster, Chang. Why spend all that money to move a 20 year old Arrow coaster to a park that doesn't need it? PiemanLK (talk) 04:51, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I see no reason not to link to our article on the Great American Scream Machine (Six Flags Over Georgia) when this article mentions the other roller coaster of the same name. Thus I'll re-add the link. I'd ask 50.179.194.186 to explain how removing the link improves this article. Huon (talk) 08:08, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to 50.179.194.186's comment on my talk page: Disambiguation hatnotes should not be taken as article content. There is nothing wrong with duplicating a link given in the hatnote in the article proper if the article mentions the subject it's being disambiguated from. Ok. Now I understand. 50.179.194.186 (talk) 18:11, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
