Portal pylon → H-frame tower — ...*sighs* I don't know what to say. Most documents call this structure an "H-frame tower", after searching. I searched "portal pylon" hard on Google and found nothing but Wikipedia mirrors (oh, and a book using Wikipedia's pages) until I finally found one source calling it a "portal pylon"... and in Sweden.

Later, after searching, I found "portal pylon" to mean basically "gateways". Like the bridge towers on the Brooklyn Bridge, and arch gateways in ancient Egypt and India. The search then quickly turns into bridges.

Who calls this a "portal pylon"? Who dictated the names of these articles, anyway? —Onore Baka Sama^{(speak | stalk)} 15:12, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
