Merge proposal

[edit]

I had redirected this page to Knock Knock (company), since the foundation of that company is the only thing for which Bilik is noted. All press coverage of her is related to that company. In general, people notable for only a single achievement do not rate their own article, but rather are discussed (in brief) at the article about the achievement (in this case, the company). Hi there. I agree including the Knock Knock (company) info could be considered redundant, but Bilik has separate achievements outside of Knock Knock, including her Dog Beach Now efforts, ongoing contribution to the Huffington Post, and ongoing business and design speaker engagements. This is why I believe a merge is unnecessary. SwansonMoustached (talk) 22:18, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dog Beach Now? This appears to be a group of LA residents who want a beach dedicated to dogs and their owners. Hardly a notable group. And her "ongoing contributions to the Huffington Post" appears to comprise two blog entries. Neither of these efforts are notable in themselves, and if it were for her running Knock Knock, a company that appears to be getting a fair amount of media attention, she would not have sufficient notability to merit an article at all. Per WP:BLP1E, people notable for a single achievement (in this case, her company) should probably not have their own article, but be mentioned in the article about the achievement. Noted. If we use that latter argument though, does that mean David Karp shouldn't have his own page, or Daniel Ek? They're all notable because of the companies they founded, so they shouldn't have their own page either? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SwansonMoustached (talkcontribs) 01:08, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
