[edit]

I'm wondering exactly what the heck this means If Ms. Wahlgren has a problem with me publishing her biography she should tell me then. I am not publishing her Telephone Number or where she lives. I am simply publishing Biographical information.--Jack Cox 01:16, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, this is interesting. She says she doesn't want her birthdate here, but I'm not sure that's a request we need to (or even should) follow. With all due respect to her wishes, I think the date should be reinstated. It's encyclopedic, and if we start following this kind of request, we're going to have to delete J.D. Salinger, etc. Unless anyone posts a reasonable objection, I'm going to put it back. -Elmer Clark 04:23, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well I honestly don't know this is a request by her and I'm a fan of hers very much and if I hurt her I didn't mean it, I love her as an actress but I think if that's what she wants then unfortunately, as much as I love information I won't publish her birthday. Besides, I do not want her to get angry over this as I might meet her at a future con.--Jack Cox 04:40, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've brought this up at the help desk here. -Elmer Clark 05:02, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, the issue has been settled there. Wikipedia policy in this kind of situation is to include the year but not the exact date, and I have done accordingly. -Elmer Clark 05:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of actors and actresses trying to make a name, career, or even living for themselves, having their age revealed can be limiting their careers. Producers and directors may claim to practice blind casting, but lets face it, as soon as they know someones actual age, they start restricting themselves. A lot of actors would prefer their ages not be revealed because of the reprecussions, and I'm sure Kari is just one of those. Sure, people should be able to know the "Encyclopedic facts" but is it REALLY that important? If you're a fan of someone, shouldn't your ultimate goal as his or her fan be their success as an actor or actress? If that's not reasonable, I don't know what is. -J. 9/13/06 8:23pm EST
If you object to the current policy, I'd suggest you say something on the talk page of Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons. -Elmer Clark 00:50, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I shall, tomorrow... I'm supposing I need to register to do that and I'm just a smidge too busy tonight for that, but I will definitely bring it up, because I think that's a reasonable objection. -J. 9/13/06 9:30pm EST

Yes, there is WP:BLPPRIVACY. Her birthday is now public knowledge as she has publicly thanked her fans on Twitter, and there is a news article which printed her age. Her birthplace is also publicized by the town's newsletters. Her phone number and residence should not be publicized. It's good enough to say she lives in the Los Angeles area per the news sources.-AngusWOOF (talk) 21:40, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uncredited in Atelier Rorona?

[edit]

I recently bought Atelier Rorona for the PS3 and when I heard the voice of Cordelia it sounded so much like Miina Miyafuji in Please Twins I thought it had to be the same actress - but I can't find any information about casting in that game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.63.78.248 (talk) 04:15, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She does not list it in her extensive voiceover resume. -AngusWOOF (talk) 15:07, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup needed.

[edit]

Among other sins, the article has words bold-faced where none is needed. GeorgeLouis (talk) 08:41, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming this is fixed by now. -AngusWOOF (talk) 15:08, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Commercials

[edit]

She's done many television commercials as well. She recently played the woman in the mud dress in the Swiffer campaign. -- œ 01:27, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the Swiffer one's been mentioned in some articles. -AngusWOOF (talk) 15:12, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage info only supported by a vague tweet

[edit]

It was brought up that she had "gotten hitched" per this tweet in 2012. https://twitter.com/KariWahlgren/status/236501679007203328 However, there were no followup tweets confirming who her spouse was or that they were still married. According to the AMA in 2016, she was single. As this was sourced solely by the tweet, and not explained at her website with further detail, I have kept it off the article. If there are further tweets or news articles that discuss her family life then this can be reconsidered. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:28, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Uncredited as a character/singing voice(?)

[edit]

I believe Kari is not credited here on her Wkpdia page for having voiced the character "Furiae" in the 2003 videogame "Drakengard". I believe she also sung the game's main theme "Growing Wings", which is a beautiful (and heartbreaking) song. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2803:C600:114:8A20:FEA7:645D:7C11:28EF (talk) 18:36, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
