Khan Ata's personal life

[edit]

Thanks for the topic. However, the 'personal life' part looks a bit scrappy in the way they are written. Also the info is not complete. Khan Ata has two more children from his second marriage. Mithun apa (a doctor) and Amin Vai are elder siblings of Sraboni apa (Rumana Khan, Architect). Please check and edit if possible. I can give more info if you need. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roopak23 (talkcontribs) 01:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's so nice of you. Feel free to add info and complete the article with reliable sources. — Tanvir 09:04, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Close paraphrasing

[edit]

At least some of the content in this article is too closely drawn from [1]. For an example of one problematic passage, compare:

Khan Ataur Rahman was also a good singer, and a reputed lyricist and music composer. He wrote mote than 500 songs.[2] Many of them are still popular among listeners. He introduced some new trends in lyrics and composition style.

with that source:

Khan Ataur Rahman was a good singer and also earned reputation as a composer of music. He wrote more than 500 songs, many of which became popular and still attract listeners. He introduced some new trends in lyrics and the style of composition of songs.

There may be other passages that similarly follow too closely.

While facts are not copyrightable, creative elements of presentation - including both structure and language - are. Changes here are minimal, particularly in the final sentence which is identical to the source through the first half.

So that it will not constitute a derivative work, content in this article that follows closely on other sources should be rewritten. The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism".

Early life and education

[edit]

On the last sentence of the second in this section, it says "he had only taka 60 seconds in his position that time". Would taka be the word to be used there or should it be something else, what do you guys think?
