Moved article to new name

[edit]

According to the Danish Palaces and Properties Agency the correct name of this property should be Kronborg Castle not Kronborg. Also, see consolidated List of castles and palaces in Denmark for standardized naming. Thanks. --SFDan 10:05, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, and I also think there should have been much more discussion for such a drastic change. Calling Kronborg (Kron=Crown, Borg=Castle) 'Kronborg Castle' is a tautology, in Denmark it would not be called 'Kronborg borg' as the name itself tells you it is a castle and would simply be referred to as 'Kronborg'. I then suggest a revert. DDH89 (talk) 23:26, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kronborg borg, no it is called "Kronborg Slot". Borg is a castle with a primary millatary purpose and slot is a castle which is used for living and entertainment. It is in danish called Kronborg Slot. E VII build a Borg but F II and C IV build slot's. The lack of a proper english translation makes no difference the name of the site is Kronborg and the castle at the site is Kronborg Castle.85.83.81.228 (talk) 16:32, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion should have taken place first. Is there more to the site that the castle? Should there be two pages? Should one be called Kronberg Slot even? IceDragon64 (talk) 13:51, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Slaves

[edit]

Just a comment on this edit comment: The actual term used at the time for these types of convicts was "slaves", so the editor who added it probably had no "emotive bias". But on the other hand the older use of this term should not be used without an additional explanation, and as that was not the case here, I support your edit to remove it. --Saddhiyama (talk) 14:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shakespear Anniversary

[edit]

When was this?

Possible improvements

[edit]

There is surely a lot more that could be said. For example, what is it used for now? Tell us more of its history, links to history eslewhere. Tell us about the site in general. IceDragon64 (talk) 13:56, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Kronborg is known by many also as" Poor use of English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.42.189 (talk) 17:57, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
