Notability

I find it hard to believe that someone would tag this article for notability. She is a Professor of Sociology, she has written several books published by leading academic presses, she has received an honorary doctorate at a reputable foreign university and she is a leading scholar in her field. Proposing this article for deletion under the PROD process. Subject does not meet the guidelines for academic notability, and the article is almost completely unsourced except for a single link to a university bio, which is not enough for a biography of a living person. nf utvol (talk) 12:21, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Would appreciate some more discussion about notability. Adding an RfC. Possibly notable as author, but individual does not seem to be cited any more frequently than any other published professor at a major research university. nf utvol (talk) 01:16, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
