This is an effort to catalogue and list all starting QBs for the Oklahoma Sooners →Deser† sapper•≈talk 21:47, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table layout

[edit]

I changed the layout of one of the tables. I think it looks better this way but I'll leave that up to somebody else. You can view how I changed the table by look at this diff. If you want to change the rest of the tables, feel free, or else revert my change.↔NMajdantalk 15:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced the standard list on the grounds that the table listing is incomplete. The longer list goes back to 1946, while the table listing only goes back to 1969. I will attempt to add more tables as time permits and as information becomes available. →Deser† sapper•≈talk 21:17, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revisit the layout of this list

[edit]

I think this list should be converted to one big list and not separated by decade. In addition, I think the list should be sortable so you can easily sort by year, wins, losses, number of conference championships, etc. I have begun the list with the two most recent QBs so you can see what I am thinking. I have created a development environment for this list at Talk:Oklahoma Sooners starting quarterbacks/Dev. Please also notice how I handled notes. This beats the simple "injured"/"replaced" system currently in place as it easily allows for more information. Thoughts?—NMajdantalk 15:15, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe we're going about this list all wrong. There is already a featured list for an NFL team's starting quarterbacks. In that list, they list each each and the quarterbacks that started that year. That may be less confusing than how we're doing it (i.e. it gets pretty confusing around the Jason White era with his multiple injuries and Bradford this year). It also doesn't include an extraneous information like win/loss record (which also gets confusing — who gets the win/loss if a quarterback is injured early in the game). Also, this list gets confusing because on several occassions is attributes a particular year's Red River Rivalry or bowl game to multiple quarterbacks. I've added how this new layout would look to the same talk subpage mentioned above.—NMajdantalk 14:45, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
