Dean's costume

[edit]

Based on the bump I thought he dressed like Leia Organa from Star Wars. -th1rt3en 17:52, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We really have little information so far, so I'll genericize the description some more. - DynSkeet * Talk 19:31, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Air Date

[edit]

All of the shows airing on AdultSwim Fix should list that date as the original air date.

Uh, no, 'cause 'air date' means the one on the television. Not all of us have the Fix; much less the majority who watch the show. -Umbric Man 2:29 A.M. 19th August 2006
The lack of technological ability or motivation of the "majority" not withstanding, this article would be a big blank if the episode hadnt aired on the 18th. You can't contrib facts to this article before 20th without acknowledging that it aired on the 18th. If anything AdultSwim programming should have it's own infobox to reflect the dual nature of episode premiers.Carterhawk 06:52, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed with Umbric. The Fix is just a special preview. 70.40.150.89 06:45, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No it is not, it is the full episode exactly as it will appear on television. Time to move out of the 20th century.Carterhawk 06:52, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're kidding me, right?
The guys at Astrobase themselves were impressed the show was going to be a permanent fixture on the Fix and you have to remember that [AS] is primarily a television station. I'm pretty sure they themselves consider the airdates per the actual television airing. Besides, the 'guide being a big blank without airing on the 18th' isn't a great argument. We had THIS episode's page up for the longest time based solely on commercial previews.
Remember, it's a TV show, not an internet series. I'll consider it from that viewpoint. -Umbric Man 12:50 A.M. August 20th 2006
Adult Swim Fix is a web based Video-On-Demand service. Second, Adult Swim is a network, not a station. The only "stations" are the ones you can pick up with an antennae. At best, Adult Swim is a content producer that is carried by cable and satalite providers. Carterhawk 06:13, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Silence of the Lambs Reference?

[edit]

Unfortunately I didn't record the episode, so do you guys remember that scene where Dean is chained to the wooden chair? Were those fingernails? I think this might reference the 'nails-in-the-stone-well-wall-scene in Silence of the Lambs -Northridge August 21, 2006 2:39 AM Central

It was a little hard to tell, but I believe they were supposed to be fingernails. (Note the gross-out factor that several of them landed in his mouth when he fell backwards.) -DynSkeet (Talk) 12:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I took them to be fingernails from the Baron's previous wives. Didn't notice any go in Dean's mouth in the fall (Yuck!) and I didn't remember that from SOTL. --EarthPerson 14:16, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you go back and watch SOTL, right near the end of the 'shampoo in the basket' scene, the camera does a close-up on the wall of the well, there is a woman's fingernail embedded into it. -Northridge August 21, 2006 10:15 AM Central

Underland's location

[edit]

I just removed a trivia bit that said Underland must be in Canada due to its border with Michigan. As Michigan shares no land border with Canada, Underland must be either within the bounds of Michigan, or one of its neighboring states -- Ohio, Illinois, or Wisconsin. As a native Michigander, my vote is for Ohio. -- Boradis 09:01, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I say Michigan itself. It would be a short trip for the eunuch from Detroit. -CWD 14:44, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, they tenichally mentioned Delaware, my state. I'm happy. Though damn, we beat out more than just Rhode Island now in size! -Umbric Man 12:28 A.M. 22nd August 2006
While it needn't border Canada, it is still possible if Underland straddles the St. Clair River.70.40.150.89 09:49, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Which would make it not a river any longer, and dramatically alter the geography. The simplest solution is the one I made above. I was just kidding about Ohio, there's a rivalry of sorts between Michigan and Ohio. --Boradis 09:02, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean by that. It would still be a river, it would just be a river that goes through Underland. Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway.

Couldn't it be in one of the Great Lakes?209.169.114.213 04:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Or, It could be entirely surrounded by michagan, like the Vatican. -th1rt3en 04:29, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That makes the most sense, IMO. --Boradis 09:45, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
