Spell Check

[edit]

Could we get a basic spell check on this article, I can spot at least three problems already (74.0.85.66 (talk) 21:19, 2 July 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Syndicate Number

[edit]

Victor Echo November Seven Niner (VEN79) - I gathered that this was his personal number for the Guild, or something similar. Could I be wrong? -th1rt3en 18:50, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No telling who's right, but I assumed it was some sort of code indicating the Ventures. - DynSkeet * Talk 20:36, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I just watched it again, and the second mention of it Phantom Limb says: "Blackout target: Victor. Echo. November. Seven. Niner. is in daddy's lap." So, you're probably right Dyn, that looks to be the Venture family's number. And it makes sense too I guess: VENture -th1rt3en 05:36, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Real name

[edit]

I heard his last name as "Fantomas", not "Fantomos". Does anyone have a solid source for the spelling currently in the article? -DynSkeet (Talk) 12:47, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Phantom LimbPhantom Limb (character) or some other disambiguator to avoid confusion with phantom limb.

WP:PRECISION recommends "adding a parenthetical (bracketed) disambiguator to the page name: for instance when both spellings are often or easily confused." AjaxSmack 01:07, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

[edit]

I tried to start some wider discussion on the topic at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (precision), but without significant input; we ought to have a wider consensus on the topic. Duja 13:33, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:VB215.jpg

[edit]

Image:VB215.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The Lair of the Phantom

[edit]

Should it be pointed out that Limb's home, the Lair of the Phantom, is (or is meant to look just like) Frank Lloyd Wright's Storer House? The only difference I can find is that the real house doesn't have the stairs coming off the upstairs balcony. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pete buchholz (talkcontribs) 02:57, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
