Joanna of Castile

[edit]

Was she ever considered Princess of Girona? She was recognized as heir reluctantly by Aragon but it never said if she was created Princess of Girona. Also she had a half-brother born in 1509 that was Prince of Girona for a few hours before he died.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 00:52, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Correction

[edit]

I removed this sentence : "Three other titles represent the other Kingdoms within the Crown of Aragon: the heir of the Crown of Aragon was Prince of Girona (Aragon), Duke of Montblanc (Catalonia), Count of Cervera (Valencia) and Lord of Balaguer (Mallorca)."

This is complete crap : Girona, Montblanc, Cervera and Balaguer are alls cities in Catalonia. The Duchy of Montblanc was created as a second-son title in 1387 (Girona was not a principality until 141) and united to the Girona title in 1461, when the infant Ferran, duke of Montblanc and second son of King John II inherited his older brother's title.78.232.54.121 (talk) 11:59, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
