Title of "Baltimore Ravens Offensive Tackle"

[edit]

Untitled

[edit]

This may be nit-picking, but I'm curious what people think... should we refer to his role in the movie "The Blind Side" as "Baltimore Ravens' Offensive Tackle" Michael Oher? I do realize that is Oher's current title as a player in the NFL, but at the time the story takes place, he was not a Raven. Perhaps it's just a matter of putting "current" before "Baltimore Ravens" in the title. That would be my suggestion. I just think that, in the context of his role in that film, calling him a Baltimore Raven is a little misleading. Or, I could be over-thinking something that's really not a big deal. Thoughts?--Kp.murphy (talk) 15:28, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Changed it - I removed this from the intro paragraph, but I at least left a parenthetical reference in the text of the article, adding the word "current". CougRoyalty (talk) 05:43, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Mute Singer"

[edit]

Can someone explain for me and other readers what a "mute singer" is? Wikipedia doesn't define it (although someone linked it to a non-page). Wiktionary doesn't define it. Dictionary.com doesn't define it. Onelook.com doesn't define it. The minimal definition provided on answers.yahoo.com ("someone that cannot talk but demonstrates") is not useful. Google finds the phrase associated with Mr. Aaron on several sites that appear to be plagiarizing one another — a concept that is as self-contradictory as the subject phrase itself. I would be most appreciative and believe it would be helpful if someone above my pay grade with research skills beyond the nominal ones that I've already exhausted could define "mute singer" for readers' inquiring minds. Filmography Section

[edit]

Hey, I just popped in here to look at who this was, and noticed the filmography section seems like it doesn't look right, the layout that is! I would not know what is correct, perhaps someone more knowledgeable with this actor could help? Thanks--UnQuébécois (talk) 05:16, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

I have found this article from NeighborNewspapers.com, and it can be used a reliable source to prove his birthday:

"Quinton Aaron...will return this weekend for the inaugural Quinton Aaron Celebrity Golf Tournament at Bobby Jones Golf Course in Buckhead. The weekend event will feature...a 30th birthday party for Aaron...When:...birthday party Friday from 6 to 10 p.m...."

The date of this article was Wednesday, August 13, 2014; the date of this article and the bold text imply that Aaron celebrated his 30th birthday on Friday, August 15, 2014, thus his birthday is on August 15. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 21:53, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have also added another source from BET that says his birthday is August 15. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 22:07, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you nailed it! Nice research! Thanks for taking the time to find these and for being a good colleague. With best regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 22:16, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, and here's one more from PR Web. Just in case. :-)Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 22:35, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
