Isanosaurus and Antetonitrus: the first Triassic sauropods discovered

[edit]

The descriptions of Isanosaurus in 2000 and Antetonitrus in 2003 confirm that sauropods diverged from Thecodontosaurus along with the prosauropods. This shows that sauropods and prosauropods evolved from a common ancestor.

Sauropodiformes

[edit]

On [1] I found Sauropodiformes as a group of sauropodomorphs that included all but the Guaibasauridae. It was said that it was named by Martinez et al. in 2011. Is this true and if so should it be included in the article? Reid, iain james (talk) 00:32, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The clade diagrams are inconsistent with those on dinosaur pages

[edit]

And I cannot find some dinosaur clades in the clade diagrams on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.243.199.239 (talk) 07:25, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Any in particular? They may be nested within sub-clades like Anchisauria which are not expanded here due to space restrictions. Dinoguy2 (talk) 11:48, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Proposal for Plateosauria

[edit]

Support: Merge was suggested a few months ago at WT:DINO in order to streamline the cladistic layout of Wikipedia articles. Plateosauria is a stub, and a node-based clade with little potential to expand the article. The merge was proposed and discussed as part of a larger set of merge proposals, so this proposal is a matter of procedure. A Cynical Idealist (talk) 04:40, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
