AFD?

[edit]

I'm dubious about SMG's notability. The article doesn't assert it. The only sci paper listed is from 1988 and doesn't look very exciting William M. Connolley (talk) 18:17, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Going... going... William M. Connolley (talk) 20:19, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose it will fail, but maybe we need an AFD here? She is not covered by WP:ACADEMIC as far as I can see, but she is fairly covered by WP:BASIC that states "A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of published[3] secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent,[4] and independent of the subject.[5]". Could be. But there is none of that in the article William M. Connolley (talk) 20:58, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

COI template tag was added without explanation. Review and remove?

[edit]

This tag was added without identifying which edits were controversial and why. Wikipedia rules note that it may be removed by editors who do not have a conflict of interest after the problem is resolved or if the problem is not explained on the article's talk page. Please review this page and remove the tag if you do not find any controversial or unreferenced edits. Or remove any problematic edits.Laurids2 (talk) 16:05, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriate tag, as you are promoting yourself in some of the edits. Under discussion at WP:COIN. --- Possibly 19:26, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the discussion at WP:COIN. Yes, I am the subject of this biographical entry. I did not create it but once I noticed it, I wanted to make it more accurate and complete (which I understood that Wikipedia permits). I was not trying to "promote myself" (see discussion), but now see how some edits could give that impression. Please see the discussion at WP:COIN, remove any edits deemed "promotional" or controversial, and remove the tag. I am not editing anything now and as the subject of this page, can't remove them myself.Laurids2 (talk) 09:03, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Revise as needed and remove COI tag

[edit]

This tag has now been explained and discussed. See above and WP:COIN Please review and revise as needed for neutrality, and remove tag. I did not add the article, but am the subject and tried to correct and improve it (as an inexperienced Wiki editor), which caused editors to perceive problems. I am no longer editing anything! Laurids2 (talk) 07:54, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, this reads fairly neutrally now and is well-sourced. Tag removed. Tacyarg (talk) 08:16, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
 Already done Melmann 17:05, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
