Article spells David Rockefeller's name wrong, using "RockAfeller". There is no A. Voxpiratica (talk) 04:02, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The 4th paragraph in "Controversial comments" explicitly draws a comparison with the content of 3rd paragraph and worse, goes as far as making an uncalled-for value-judgment by stating “found […] worthy of praise”. The whole sentence overall strongly appears to violate WP:WTW.

I see that Asteriks suggested it, here in the topmost-section but I dunno for sure who added it. As if that's just not enough, it's sourced to a near-deprecated source Media Research Center which is a dead-link, anyways. Regardless, guidelines unambiguously state that the citation must be removed ASAP, given this a direct WP:BLP matter.

Similarly, in the infobox: He's credited as the “founder” of Russian TV-6, however, there's no citation here of the same whatsoever to avoid being mistaken as some Russophobic dog-whistle which aims to impugn the subject, it should be added given that article's infobox hasn't drew any connection with this BLP's subject, which is quite unsurprising given it's mostly articles for media-organisations outside the Anglosphere which tend to be in guidelines-contravening shambles.

Frankly, given how much unverified-shambles this article is in: It's necessary either somebody verifies each and every citation throughout sections, or at the very least, flag this whole BLP article as requiring urgent-attention for verifiability matters.103.163.124.70 (talk) 08:38, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: I've done some cleanup. I don't think the entire article needs tagging, but if you strongly believe it does I suggest you establish consensus for that before opening another edit request. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:04, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing on the America's Cup? Yachtsman of the Year four times and was inducted into the America's Cup Hall of Fame in 1993 and the National Sailing Hall of Fame in 2011? 2600:8805:110C:BE00:118F:8D97:904E:A942 (talk) 21:19, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That is covered in the article's section "Sailing" RudolfRed (talk) 22:31, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Family Guy

[edit]

There is a character on the animated television show Family Guy which is a heavily fictionalised version of Ted Turner. I'm surprised this is not referenced in the current article. Mr Turner may be a towering figure in business and the media in America; but many people outside of the US sphere of influence (including myself) only became aware of his existence because of his character on FG. That a media figure eventually features as an actor in the media, albeit as a fictive caricature of himself, surely deserves to be at least touched upon. The page does not discuss his controversial view on Israel and antisemitic views that show up in his news network. Due some due diligence and look into it 68.83.56.38 (talk) 01:37, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Humanist of the Year 1990

[edit]

The page for American Humanist Association lists him as their winner for 1990, but I don't see it mentioned here... Silversplash (talk) 16:33, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
