prod reason

[edit]

This bio on a non-notable scientist was created by a proven troll merely to prove a point. See the RfC here[1]. Radkris 15:50, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've deprodded on the evidence that he's a notable author and expert in his field. I've added the Cambridge University Press link[2] that includes quotes from some reviews. --Mereda 08:29, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

J C Bose Award

[edit]

I have added a dubious tag at the J C fellowship award. The J C Bose Fellowship Awardees list from the Indian Institute of Science website, here, doesn't list him. So maybe there is some kind of error. Alexcalamaro (talk) 10:43, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jagadish Chandra Bose is a famous Indian scientist, and one of his students had his name recognised in many Nobel Prizes in Physics and in bosons, so it's unsurprising that there at least two different fellowships in JC Bose's name. The internal IISC fellowship does not appear to be as prestigious as the J. C. Bose national fellowship awarded by the Science and Engineering Research Board of the DST, one of the ministries of the Government of India. Boud (talk) 23:27, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
