Current Bio Photo Depicts Bernadette Cha; Photo of Theresa Hak Kyung Cha is in a Video. Screenshot OK to Upload?

[edit]

Hi Wikipedians,

I am writing to state that the current biography photo on Theresa Hak Kyung Cha's page actually depicts the author's sister, Bernadette Cha. I got this information from a book that I own, Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning by Cathy Park Hong. If you go to this Dailymotion video page, Theresa Hak Kyung Cha's face appears in her video, Permutations, at the 44:04 mark. I took a screenshot of the author's photo.

Could someone please verify that this screenshot is permitted to be on the page? There is no other photo, that is free content, depicting Theresa Hak Kyung Cha-- all of the photos are of Bernadette Cha, according to Cathy Park Hong.

No Online Photo of Cha Exists; The Ones Wikipedia Holds Depict Bernadette Cha, Not Theresa.

[edit]

Hi Wikipedians,

Please note that I've deleted the biography photo that was on this page, because that photo depicted Bernadette Cha, the sister of this page's subject, and not Theresa Cha herself. Please see the "Online Public Portraits" section of the wiki page for more, detailed information.

Can photo be removed?

[edit]

According to the entry itself, this is a photo of her sister. There is a photo of her online as well, looking out a window in profile, as described in the entry. 2601:181:401:C080:7D1D:5701:A2C5:8F9A (talk) 16:08, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
