Change 'Tulsa race riot' to 'Tulsa Race Massacre.' This is a distinction recognized academically and socially. 12.149.188.138 (talk) 20:06, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Please provide reliable sources that support this change. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 20:12, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really have a strong opinion on which name is used. But they have approximately equal Google search results. 2600:1702:2A80:3160:71:4DE9:5C6C:DB52 (talk) 04:23, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updates

[edit]

Hi, Does anyone think of Adding the 1997 Wildcats Bells roller coaster incident. I was thinking of adding that at the end of the 1900-present area (which that sub section should be renamed the 20th century). Jerry Steinfield (talk) 23:33, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This likely doesn't meet WP:NOTABILITY guidelines. Anastrophe (talk) 19:06, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please mention Tulsa Fire Department in this wikipedia article, I have been working on the Tulsa Fire Department article. That is all i'm asking. Thank you! Jackson3423123 (talk) 22:56, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the link on it, but since you are autoconfirmed you should be able to edit this article yourself. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:36, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Tulsa race massacre article

[edit]

The former Tulsa race riot entry has undergone a successful move request. Please see the Talk page for additional details [1] With this new information in mind, it seems like it might be time to make the same update here. I know it's been a subject of previous discussion here, but given this development it seems reasonable. Michael.j.champlin (talk) 23:08, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Motorsports

[edit]

I removed a section in the Motorsports area of the page since it had unreferenced and false information. It stated something along the lines of that it (midget motocross racing) was the biggest event of its kind (like it had a big showing at the expo), but as is turns out that it was not the biggest event in its "league". http://www.usacracing.com/component/k2/item/8989-2020-usac-national-midget-schedule-is-largest-since-1988 https://speedsport.com/sprints-midgets/usac/largest-schedule-since-1988-for-usac-midgets/. these links provide information about that. Jerry Steinfield (talk) 04:01, 16 April 2020 (UTC) just said this so if anyone questioned the edit that I made I could prove some sources that the old revision was wrong.[reply]

Tulsa 66ers

[edit]

The sports article has not mentioned the Tulsa 66ers of the developmental G-League in basketball. Just pointing it out to have that mention, despite the team is defunct. 2605:E000:100D:C571:14BB:296D:C30B:6F6F (talk) 04:51, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah forgot about them. Well they have a wiki page/(since their merge their more related to OKC)/ but yah probably needs a paragraph it'l be noted but i'll try and get some information on that in the future.

I wonder would it go in College sports or should it and the Hurricanes be moved in its own sub-area of Basketball? It was a NBA affiliate with several times, ( whilst now as the Blue their only affiliate is the Thunder).

McGirt v. Oklahoma

How should McGirt v. Oklahoma be addressed in this article? –Zfish118talk 16:21, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

FAR needed

[edit]

This 2010 promotion needs to be revisited. It has significant issues with citation format, excessive use of primary sources, and non-cited content. (t · c) buidhe 06:35, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tulsa's Sister Cities - Ploiești?

[edit]

Does anyone have a citation confirming that Ploiești, Romania is sister cities with Tulsa? There's nothing on the Tulsa Global Alliance page about it, and a web search didn't seem to come up with anything. Xerius (talk) 21:46, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

University of Tulsa Update

[edit]

The information regarding TU undergraduate enrollment and U.S. News and World Report ranking is out of date as of fall 2021. https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/university-of-tulsa-3185 --KayleeT1127 (talk) 05:44, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Religion Section

[edit]

The Religion section lacks adequate citations. While I don't believe anything is wholly untrue, it's written in parts with a less-then-neutral tone and lacks citations for some fairly sweeping generalizations. I intend to work on a rewrite of this section. Michael.j.champlin (talk) 14:39, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Zink Lake

[edit]
