Marriages? Children? --Severino (talk) 19:29, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and yes. See Vera Miles#Personal life. Guy Harris (talk) 08:07, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Birth Year 1929 or 1930?

[edit]

Vera Miles was born on August 23, 1930. There are 2 sources that will verify it: The 1930 Census doesn't list any Vera June Ralston, therefore she was born after June 27 1930. Also, Intelius gives Vera Ralston Miles as currently being 79 years old. These are both reliable sources, therefore 1930 is the correct year. 79.124.57.97 (talk) 23:37, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Boise City, Oklahoma article needs changing, then. And there needs to be a reliable source cited on the main page of this article. 216.93.234.239 (talk) 05:20, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hollywood Squares?

[edit]

The Wiki article on Hollywood Squares says that she was a 'square' on the program, but that's not mentioned in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.92.174.105 (talk) 01:32, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And if we could also list all the stores and gas-stations and restaurants she has frequented, that would also be good. Right? \s Come on folks. Are we really interested in knowing every single thing she might have ever done? This is over-played in my humble opinion. Thank you and Good Night. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 11:23, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

why?

[edit]

Why give the plot of Three Rode West? The plot has no significance for the career or personal life of the actress. Isn't it on IMDB? Put that and the other four items in the Filmography and let people look them up there. 71.163.114.49 (talk) 18:40, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agree 100%. This article needs some editing IMHO. Some of this garnish is not related to the subject of the article. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 11:26, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Marriages

[edit]

It says she's been married four times. But only three husbands are listed. Valetude (talk) 08:39, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Her fourth husband is named Bob Jones, he is a British sound engineer. They were married in 1973. Kim Fyffe (talk) 19:56, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why does the sidebar give marriage dates and say 'divorced' for the fourth husband (Jones), while the text in the 'Personal Life' section claims that they're still married?

Star billing

[edit]

Interesting that she occupies higher billing on the poster than Janet Leigh, when she's only in a small part. Valetude (talk) 10:21, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hitchcock Films about Actual Events

[edit]

The article describes The Wrong Man as "one of only a few Hitchcock films based on real-life events." I know of no other Hitchcock films that are based on actual events; what are the others? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Britishisles (talkcontribs) 14:42, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There are many statements and claims included in this article that are nothing but pure ... nonsense, with no citations. It's like someone just wrote it and made up stuff as they went along. I thought this type of claim required substantiation. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 11:20, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit requested, please.

[edit]

The article contains this strange and irrelevant sentence: "One of her grandsons, actor Jordan Essoe, met with actress Jessica Biel in 2012 in preparation for Biel's portrayal of Miles in the film Hitchcock"

And one of my cousins once met the Queen of England. So what? Is this some kind of joke or vandalism? Would someone please remove this statement. It has no bearing on Ms Miles personal life.

Also... She was NOT in the "Green Berets" film. Including the mention of filming in the text is fine, but it is NOT a legitimate film credit since she did not appear in the movie. Her name is not in the film credits. I looked. Nor is it listed anywhere else.

This article appears to have been written by a publicist. And although I have no chips in the game so-to-speak, IMHO it is non-encyclopedic in its current form. Cheers. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 11:17, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
