Jade Montserrat is a UK performance and visual artist based in Scarborough, UK.
She makes visual and live artworks which explore race and the vulnerabilities of bodies, the tactile and sensory qualities of language and challenge the structures of care in institutions.
She studied at Courtauld Institute of Art (2003) and Norwich School of Art and Design, MA Drawing (2010) and is currently a Stuart Hall PHD scholar at the School of Art, Design and Performance at the University of Central Lancashire between 2017–20[1], on 'Race and Representation in Northern Britain in the context of the Black Atlantic: A Creative Practice Project'.
