In 1935, the industrial engineer Mr. Ignasi Ponti Grau (Barcelona 1910 - 1993) and Mr. Lluís Tribó Bonjonch (Maldà 1906 - Barcelona 2008) established a professional office under the name of Ignasi Ponti. It was dedicated to the protection of Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, utility models, trade names, designs and copyright) and soon changed its name to Oficina Ponti. In 1976 it became a limited company under the name Ponti i Tribó, S.L., and in 2003 it was renamed as Oficina Ponti, S.L. (2003-2008). In 2008 it finally changed into a professional limited liability company under the name of Oficina Ponti, S.L.P. Initially, the main office was located at Passeig de Gràcia 33 in Barcelona but in 1998 it moved to Consell de Cent 322, also in Barcelona.
