This type of material provide long life expectancy and can use it over and over again without tore out. The corner and around the wire gauze is turning inward to stop fraying. The wire gauze is a piece of supporting equipment in laboratory because the beakers or any type of glassware cannot be heat directly with flame from the Bunsen Burner therefore by having the wire gauze will help protect the glassware. There are two types of wire gauze: Woven Wire gauze and other one is Wire that have ceramic in the center.[1] These two types of wire gauze that make of metal have a same ability which is to transmit the heat efficiently but the one that have ceramic in the center that allow the heat to disperse evenly. There are three size of the Wire Gauze with ceramic center which is 4 inches, 5 inches, and 6 inches. There are difference sizes of wire gauze with ceramic center to match with difference sizes of glassware.
