Your user page

[edit]

...is not for that sort of thing. The point is that Wikipedia is a project to build an encyclopedia, and that is all it is. Its facilities are not to be used for unrelated purposes. WP:UPNOT says: "Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia." See also WP:NOTWEBHOST.

Have a look at Wikia. That site includes a number of wikis, and there is probably one where you could set up pages like this - you can even set up your own wiki there. Wikia runs on the same Mediawiki software as Wikipedia. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:12, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

I have explained above that your user page is not for fantasy games, or any substantial content unrelated to Wikipedia. If you persist in misusing it, you may be blocked from editing. Please find another place to do this. JohnCD (talk) 09:38, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:AlliGloss requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.kpoplyrics.net/2ne1-crush-lyrics-english-romanized.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:50, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am blocking you for a period of one week because you have been warned multiple times about adding various things that violate our policies, such as copyright violations and trying to use your page as a webhost. Once the block is up you are welcome to edit Wikipedia again, but if you post any violations of policy again then the block may become permanent. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:50, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have also salted your userpage to help discourage any temptation to try to re-create any further violations on the page. I don't mean to sound harsh, but you've had your userpage deleted repeatedly for different violations and I'd like to ensure that you make contributions that are helpful and don't continue to violate WP:WEBHOST. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:58, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I salted it because you were using it as a webhost for information that is not supposed to be on Wikipedia. This is considered to be an abuse of your userspace and frankly, one that you could have been banned indefinitely for. You have been warned about this multiple times by different people, so I salted your userpage. This seems to have been your only purpose, so your access has been limited. You have to show that you are here to edit in a beneficial manner and not use Wikipedia as free web space. If you can do this, you may eventually be granted your userspace back. The only reason I've not blocked you indefinitely was because in the past you did seem to do some beneficial edits. However, if you continue to use Wikipedia as a webhost, you will run the risk of getting blocked indefinitely. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:23, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you create an inappropriate page. It has been explained to you that Wikipedia is not a web-host for activities not connected with the encyclopedia. Have a look at Wikia, which runs on the same MediaWiki software as Wikipedia, but is not so choosy about content. There is a probably a wiki there for what you want to do, or you could even start your own. JohnCD (talk) 13:42, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
