Ripiro Beach

[edit]

The source you added to Ripiro Beach is entirely unrelated to the content. Did you perhaps have an unrelated reference in your copy buffer? I've reverted your edit for now.-gadfium 21:10, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that was embarrassing! Yeah, I had a different link copied. I could've sworn I hit CTRL+C on the one I meant, I guess I didn't. I'll try to hunt down the source I intended, and be more attentive going forward. Askarion💬✒️ 00:14, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tom McCarthy (director), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vanity Fair. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:GOT-5x09-HarpyAttack.jpeg listed for discussion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:GOT-5x09-HarpyAttack.jpeg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:30, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for informing me of this. The result of the discussion was delete, and I can respect that. I spent a few days trying to find critical sources for that particular scene, but I admit I came up short. As it stood, that image appeared mostly decorative. There were better scenes from that episode I could have represented with an image. I'll circle around to it eventually as I continue to prepare The Dance of Dragons for GA status (though there's 10-15 articles higher on my priority list). Thank you! Thank you for informing me of this. The result of the discussion was delete, and although I stand by the image's narrative or aesthetic significance, I don't think the average reader will be heartbroken or confused on the article's content now that the image is not there. It did not add enough to the article such that its "omission would be detrimental to the understanding of the article", as Wikipedia:NFCCP requires. Thank you! Disputed non-free use rationale for File:GOT-4x01-TwoSwords.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:GOT-4x01-TwoSwords.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:32, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Supreme Court writing [your May-June 2022 edits]

[edit]

@Askarion thank you for writing about Illinois v. Caballes in such an understandable way - especially when it came to the lead. --114.72.47.174 (talk) 07:28, 10 August 2022 (UTC).[reply]

You're most welcome! Illinois v. Caballes is still on my to-do list of articles to improve, I hope to bring it to GA status sometime soon. Askarion 11:26, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What will you need to do that? --114.72.47.174 (talk) 01:54, 19 August 2022 (UTC).[reply]
I'll have to comb through the article from top to bottom to bring it to GA standards. I've just edited the lead again, in a way I hope is even more helpful than the last. Next, I'll work on the facts of the case, reinforcing what's there with sources from HeinOnline. I'd also like to add a subsequent developments section eventually, which is typical for WP:SCOTUS/SG. Happy to help any way I can! Askarion 13:59, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Don't engage

[edit]

I would strongly recommending not engaging with the editor. You were not gravedancing, that's a baseless accusation (like the rest of them) and engaging with them just gives them the satisfaction they want. FrederalBacon (talk) 21:39, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't plan on engaging the editor anymore and I've removed the page from my watchlist, mostly because I'm not sure I'm even allowed to because he's still arguing for edits be made to an article he's banned from discussing. I replied to their comment on Talk:Andrew Tate because I wasn't aware they were blocked yet, and I was planning on staying out of the discussion on the editor's personal talk page, but then they explicitly tagged me in a new section marked "Message to Askarion" and I felt obligated to at least say why. I'm more than happy to move on from this situation as a whole. Thank you! Askarion 22:51, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I actually believe what they did would be grounds for TPA removal, since they continued the dispute they were banned for on their talk. FrederalBacon (talk) 23:17, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
