Vandalism-fighter

[edit]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my userpage. Much appreciated. hmwithτ 05:59, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Next time I'll bump up the counter for you! -- Flyguy649 talk 00:52, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

My apologies for the tone of my previous post! User:Kdenslow has just tried again to put himself into the article namespace. It took me a while before I noticed that his previous attempt and your fixing of it was two years ago! I shall assume you know all about move now. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 11:10, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I've been on pretty infrequently of late. Heck, that probably predates my RFA! -- Flyguy649 talk 00:04, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen my user page? It's been updated.AnimorphGracie (talk) 16:19, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So there is an disagreement between me and another editor on what the page should be I believe it should be the one posted above and he thinks it should be Manchester, New Hampshire mayoral election, 2009 just wondering if you could contribute thanks Gang14 (talk) 06:04, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look at it. -- Flyguy649 talk 14:47, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

my article

[edit]

Why the hell did you delete my article about the little rock band 2 band? Bigballer2345 (talk) 07:37, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:BAND for the notability requirements of bands. Little Rock Band 2 is not notable in the Wikipedia sense. -- Flyguy649 talk 07:42, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to get involved!

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 00:24, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added Robot Rampage, Catch That Train! and Attack of the Fifty-Foot Worman to List of The Backyardigans episodes.

[edit]

I had to rent the DVD to do it, but a synopsis is a synopsis. Hopefully Season Four should actually start showing within the month. HalfShadow (talk) 17:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome! I didn't catch that they'd released it on DVD yet. I'll pick it up later. -- Flyguy649 talk 14:45, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I may have to edit them at some point; that may not be how they show 'officially'. As you know, the episodes show in a specific order, and the DVDs don't generally take that into account, so I may have to move them to where they belong. HalfShadow (talk) 16:27, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion

[edit]

I nominated http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Oxford_High_School for speedy deletion as it is pure vandalism, it is simply a vandalized version of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avon_Grove_High_School copied and pasted and slightly modified for humorous effect. Why doesn't it fit the criteria for speedy deletion? Get back to me when you can. Richiemcintosh (talk) 02:54, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I missed the forking bit. Deleted. -- Flyguy649 talk 02:55, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a bunch! Keep up the good work :) -- Richiemcintosh (talk) 02:57, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Here, You've made the following comment:

Further, Canadian English is rhotic, so we also pronounce the 'R'.

Did you mean that the Canadians pronounce "lawyer" like "lor-yer" (both Rs being sounded), while you don't pronounce "liar" like "lar-yer"? Thank you in advance for any more clarification.

HOOTmag (talk) 16:15, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rhotic accents pronounce R written in words; I pronounce lawyer "loy-er", and liar "lie-ar". Non rhotic speakers sometimes add Rs that aren't present in the word, such as between two words that end and start with a vowel Canada egg --> "Canadar-egg". Cheers! -- Flyguy649 talk 19:58, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know very well the difference between rhotic an non-rhotic accents. However, I couldn't understand why you'd indicated that: "Canadian English is rhotic, so we also pronounce the R": Of course it's rhotic! Who doesn't know that? So I thought that maybe you'd meant that you pronounced "lawyer" as if it were spelled "lor-yer" (both Rs being sounded), just as you pronounce "Lincoln" as if it were spelled "Lincurn", and pronounce "Malcolm" as if it were spelled "Malcurm", and the like. I've never edited ANYTHING on Wiki!

[edit]

Maybe my IP recently changed but I've never edited a wiki. Although after watching 'Global Warming' for a month we've consider getting into the frey, which is why I write you.

ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:75.25.107.110&oldid=160630393

I don't suppose this would have any sway if I did ever choose to give it wiki-go?

Sincerely, PitchforkPatriot. (75.25.107.110 (talk) 01:48, 22 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

There's nothing on your IP address preventing you from editing. However, Global Warming is semi-protected, meaning only registered users can edit it. I suggest you register an account if you wish to edit that article. -- Flyguy649 talk 15:40, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
