Hi, I was looking over the edit you made to Catch-22 (logic), and while some of the wording you have changed is for the better, it seems to me that your rewrite doesn't fit with the way the book is written. There have been several editors who have tried to make the article make sense from a logic perspective, but the catch is meant to be absurdest, and therefore difficult to make sense of. If you don't mind, could you reinsert the information deleted (in the format you've changed it to)?

Of course, the article itself is a poor one. It should probably be called Catch-22 (phrase), so that this doesn't happen as often as it does.

Also, you might consider archiving your talk page instead of blanking it. NJGW (talk) 18:09, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The plot summary in this article was rather long. I've managed to trim it to less than half it's original length, but you may want to check it over to make sure I haven't introduced any errors (althought I've seen the original film many times, I've never read this book). Cheers :-) CultureDrone (talk) 12:53, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Light synthesizer

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Light synthesizer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. An article you created is about to be deleted: Tools which can help you

[edit]

The article you created, Haggle_(game) is about to be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.

There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:

  1. You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.
  4. You can merge the article into a larger article.

If your page is deleted, you still have many options available. Good luck! travb (talk) 03:26, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Gridrunner Revolution

[edit]

The article Gridrunner Revolution has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient demonstration of notability. Dubious sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Durova318 20:04, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Gridrunner Revolution, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gridrunner Revolution. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Durova318 00:09, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Deflex, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, GoatUp, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will be removed shortly (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Unreferenced. No assertion of notability. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 15:53, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to GoatUp, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:36, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern at my tagging of these articles, but we have a firm policy at Wikipedia that the subjects of all articles must demonstrate importance and assert notability. Unsourced articles are very susceptible to being deleted, anything you can do to save them would be most appreciated. The tags however, must remain until the issues have been addressed. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:43, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Offer of help

[edit]

Thanks for helping expand coverage of the Jeff Minter games. They are notable elements of video game history and Wikipedia has been lacking coverage of them for a long time. I noticed that some of the articles you created today have been tagged as needing a lot of attention and improvements or else they may be deleted. The tags are pretty explanatory to help you come up with improvements but if you need help then I'd be glad to help out. I don't want you to get discouraged by the tags. Leave me a note on my talk page if you'd like help regarding them. Thanks again. I appreciate your good work. -Thibbs (talk) 16:52, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The above text posted this morning I have just now shifted lower so that it is not lost in the brace of templates that User:Kudpung posted earlier. Defending a newly created article against those who question its notability or the reliability of its sources can be a frustrating experience and so I'd like to again offer my assistance if you need it. I am quite familiar with WP:VG's policies on reliable sources and would be glad to help. As I said earlier, Jeff Minter is quite an important figure int he world of video gaming and I think it would help Wikipedia to expand coverage of his works. Cheers, -Thibbs (talk) 21:28, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Caverns of Minos, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Lunar Lander and App Store (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Bowl-A-Rama

[edit]

The article Bowl-A-Rama has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This has been completely unsourced for eleven years now, and however much one subscribes to the "constant improvement" mantra, there comes a point when one has to stop assuming that at some point somebody will find a source. About a zillion Google hits, but they all appear to be false positives from bowling events and venues using the name; searching on "Bowl-A-Rama" magic just brings up assorted magic stores selling the trick, rather than actual coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Musical statues moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Musical statues, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
