Confused?

Im dreadfully sorry to disturb you but you recently deleted what I put on the poet/poetry pages. I find this not only to be rude a disrespectful , but it has also insulted my dignity. I happen to be one of the smartest and wisest people on this planet. To have scum like yourself deleting my most wise posts makes me a little angry. Or should I say furious! I have never met such a disgrace to the planet. Anyway STOP DELETING MY POSTS OR ELSE (I'm not threatening you I'm just saying that you can't stop me from editing anything so stop).

Best Wishes, ScrewpoetryScrewpoetry (talk) 03:35, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edits by 145.118.128.65

Hi, Entering the English Wikipedia, and not yet personally logged in, I stumbled across your message on reverting an edit in "Pull & Bear". The reason for reverting was very politely phrased, as the contribution was plane vandalism. The IP address 145.118.128.65 however belongs to a secondary school in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and therefor is blocked in nl.Wikipedia for anonymous contributions. Maybe this should be installed in the English Wikipedia too. T.vanschaik (talk) 11:00, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The edit summary was automatically generated, and I did not write it. We are aware that the IP address belongs to a school see the talk page, but we won't block it until that IP has received enough warnings and vandalizes the wiki enough times. If you think this IP should be globally blocked, you can take it to the administrator noticeboard, since I'm not an admin here. K6ka (talk | contribs) 11:48, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Dana (Wayside)

Hello K6ka. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Dana (Wayside), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to fictional characters, but the article should be redirected to the show's page. Thank you. kelapstick(bainuu) 17:53, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Belated barnstar thanks

I just want to say thank you for the barnstar ... which is also sort of a way of saying "you're welcome" for the "thank you" expressed by the barnstar. I do what do at UAA regardless of whether anyone recognizes it or not, but that doesn't bar me from accepting other people's signifiers of gratitude, which I certainly appreciate. About the Wilson Rawls Edit

I'm very very sorry for the incident. This account is actually shared by the entire middle and high school students of Beresford High School, so there's definitely a few wise guys out there who think vandalizing stuff is super funny. I apologize as it is beyond my control.

The top of your IP's talk page indicates that it's a shared IP address, registered to South Dakota State Government DDN Network DDN-NET-SCHOOLS-1. It may be warned and blocked repeatedly. To avoid messages like these, consider creating an account for yourself at home, like I do (my school's IP address is currently blocked until 2015, and I need to log in to edit). Stoney la rue

Hi! I made an edit to a Wikipedia page about Stoney la rue, a story about him giving away boots, and was contacted to say you blocked it needing a citation. How can I do that? This is my first time using Wikipedia so I'm a bit clueless, and the story I told was about me, I have pictures if that could count as proof? Sorry to be a hassle, this is all new to me. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.246.17.84 (talk) 15:56, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:CITE for how to cite a source. You should also read the 5 Pillars of Wikipedia if you want to edit. If you still have questions, you can ask around at the Teahouse. K6ka (talk | contribs) 16:01, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Sulay Chapelle

i felt like i added good info becuse im friends with sulayman and in fact we are hanging out this weekend but beside the point sulayman like to be called sulay by every one and i add a little part saying that he is called sulay by most people i think u should let me put it back — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyguymc (talkcontribs) 00:04, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I assume this is the diff. Please remember to link to the article in question when asking me about a revert.
Taking just one look at the diff clearly indicates that it does not belong to Wikipedia. There is no questions to be asked here. The exact same thing is also an example of original research, which Wikipedia does not accept. It doesn't matter if Drew Carey is your friend - if he tells you something that the world doesn't know about, you can't add it to Wikipedia even if it's true because that's original research (how do we know you're actually Drew Carey's friend and not an impersonator?). Everything on Wikipedia needs to be supported by a reliable source. K6ka (talk | contribs) 02:31, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On closer examination, it seems that you're referring to Sulay Chapelle, which was nominated for speedy deletion under section A7 of the Speedy Deletion Guidelines. I do not remember the contents of the page, and only an admin can view the deleted page at the moment. Again, like I said above, but also remember that all articles created on Wikipedia should have some level of notability. Wikipedia doesn't care about your garage band, because if we did, the quality of the encyclopedia would deteriorate. K6ka (talk | contribs) 02:35, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I believe Skyguy is referring to Sulayman Chappelle, son of comedian Dave Chappelle as he is fairly insistent that he knows him as a personal friend. Given that Sulayman is 13 this year, it would likely put Skyguy in the same age range. Again, not encyclopedic content but that's what I've gathered from this situation. I also don't think Dave Chappelle would enjoy the fact that someone is posting (albeit somewhat harmless) things about his son for the world to read about. Antoshi 04:11, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, so I did get the diff right! K6ka (talk | contribs) 13:13, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

putin

hey im sorry to say that putin deserves everything negative he gets. he is a horribly bad person and is only out for him self takes steals destroys and tries to control what ever is in his reach. ps what makes these politic members so special and so powerful that i cant speak my mind on them. im am the one along with many of my fellow other human beings. that take care of these so called people. i pay there wages i feed them i send them on free trips and they get the best of everything because of people like me. we do the work all the hard work and they get paid. as well your opinion on vandalism. does not apply to wikipedia. now that im here and alive. im tired of the murder and abuse of power as well; as destruction of innocent people. most of these so called members their work consists of hurting and stealing from innocent people. Then they take a nice long vacation from my cheque. do youlike being threatened and controlled. i know i dont and i can sure tell you that my family and friends and country members sure dont. stand up for your self you walk the earth not somebody else for you dont align with a joke, tell a joke somebody laugh. ps look at the T.O prob rob ford crack head drug addict and potential gang member. dont back something that does not have merit. if we start doing things different which they dont want to becuase they know economies will getting stronger. the poor will then get rich very slowly i might add because it took so freakin long. the rich will stay rich. eventually in a 1000 years we will all be at par. alright enough of this stuff. as for ed hardy some of his art is alright like i said before though boring and over recycled. i just want to let ed know its gettin tiring. bye have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.156.87.67 (talk) 19:21, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are bringing up a topic that is nearly two weeks old. As it has been discussed before, Wikipedia must be written in a neutral point of view. We do not write "He totally deserved that!" The reader must not be urged to take a side from an article - they must be given the choice. If this weren't the case, Wikipedia would've been flamed repeatedly by the media for writing such biased content. Most encyclopedias are also written in neutral point of view, and Wikipedia is no exception. Your very long description also gives me the "TL;DR" feeling one gets when he/she gets a wall of text. I can only say that, no matter how much reasoning you give, we will not add such negative comments to the article. Ever. K6ka (talk | contribs) 08:36, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your wikibreak

I see you're on a wikibreak. Anyway, enjoy (is that the right word? Anyway, why does the Canadian Army have to send you down here to the U.S.?) your wikibreak! Epicgenius (talk) 20:25, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Everything was optional, for beginners. Joining any cadet program in Canada is optional. This trip itself was optional. My mom was the one who forced me to go on this trip. They didn't have to send anyone down if they didn't want to, but they just hoped this would get a cadet's feet wet and to let them know what life in the military was like (Cadets are not part of the military or armed forces in Canada). K6ka (talk | contribs) 08:36, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing. I was wondering why your mother sent you on the trip. Is it because she wanted you to become a cadet when you are older? Epicgenius (talk) 13:49, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, it's because she thinks I'm going to blow all my free time in front of the computer. K6ka (talk | contribs) 14:24, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You know, you can set a timer to a couple hours or so, then when the timer goes off, you can shut down your computer and concentrate on your schoolwork (I assume you're still in high school). It may help. Epicgenius (talk) 14:30, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Weigh in at discussion?

Hi. Would you care to weigh in at this discussion? It concerns whether a reviewer's paraphrased criticism should be included/kept at a music article. Directing the attention of a user to Twinkle

You recently directed the attention of a user to Twinkle. Perhaps you should review that user's talk page and contributions; the user may not be ready for the tool. - Neonorange (talk) 18:26, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your quick response. I am still trying to find my way around Wikipedia, so I don't completely trust my reactions. I just happened on to the user through an edit made to Fannie Lou Hamer, and checked the contributions. I'm new enough that I spend a long time on an edit; if I don't get faster, I guess I'll stay at a few per day (and hope to be treated gently when I err).

You're the one who insists on misaligning the photos with their needed description on a wikipedia article, not me. And you're calling me the vandal? Pot calling the kettle black much? So long as you persist to bring down the article, I will have no choice but to build it back up. I've got all day. GROW UP! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CEE8:1970:256D:5A26:8FC1:7938 (talk) 01:44, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, please relax. Secondly, I reverted your edit on first sight because it added text that didn't appear to be relevant to the article, but seemed to be more of an editing note. You can wrap your text with <!-- --> if you want to leave notes for editors and not ugly notes for the reader. Also, it is not necessary to align the images to fit in with the text. Many articles do not bother with this because it leaves unwanted whitespace which looks bad. Consider discussing this on the talk page and gaining consensus before re-editing. Also try not to violate WP:3RR. K6ka (talk | contribs) 01:48, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you are removing the categories for the article. Please stop doing that. K6ka (talk | contribs) 01:49, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So you'd rather have photos misaligned with their description just because a white space does't meet your expectations? Did you spend hours and days on that article? No. I did. And I just checked all the links you said were broken and they're all fine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CEE8:1970:256D:5A26:8FC1:7938 (talk) 02:17, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, we try not to introduce Whitespace in article spaces, as it gives the page an untidy and "incomplete" appearance. See our Manual of Style for details. Also, just because you spent hours and days on the article doesn't mean another person can't edit it, as nobody owns an article on Wikipedia. And as I've mentioned before, discuss this change on the article talk page, gain consensus, and do not re-revert until consensus is given. Alternatively, you can ask at the Teahouse and someone friendlier and more experienced than me will answer you. K6ka (talk | contribs) 02:22, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(Personal attack removed)

....judging by your apparent refusal to cooperate with me (and your personal attack towards me), I will assume that you're not here to help us build an encyclopedia and instead are here to insult me instead of following the links I provided and/or discussing politely with me. Please take a WikiBreak and maybe a mug of tea and come back when you're in a better mood to edit collaboratively instead of independently. I await your "more civil" response. Hi K6, you are talking to the IP here User_talk:Poepkop#stop_your_threats and not to me, right? (just checking). Poepkop (talk) 12:06, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ah stupid me, I just noted you reported that IP to ANI already. Anyways, though legal threats are (mostly) inappropriate, methinks it is some kid having his way of "fun", the actual police has little to do with regular WP Policies. At some point I often decide to stop feeding the troll if I have reported an IP/account to AVI, to roll back (if necessary) after blocking. Actually the IP is blocked (as you know), after which a puppet appeared named WinxClubStella321, which has been blocked as well: User talk:WinxClubStella321. Warning on Mannus

Why did you warn me on Mannus, yet you failed to warn the edit warrior ip who has unilaterally reverted ten times in one hour against consensus of all other editors? 71.246.155.112 (talk) 16:56, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The other IP has already been warned. K6ka (talk | contribs) 16:56, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And since being warned he has continued on like a non-stop edit-warring machine to get this debunked fringe in the article saying Tacitus borrowed from Sanskrit, that was removed by several other more qualified editors. It need to be removed and that IP needs to be blocked. 71.246.155.112 (talk) 16:59, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The best you can do is to not revert back any more and try to contact the IP. If they ignore your attempts to contact them or refuse to collaborate, file a report at WP:AN3. K6ka (talk | contribs) 17:03, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, please leave your comments on a talk page at the bottom, and sign it by adding "~~~~" at the end of your remarks. Secondly, please read about how to cite a source, and what is a reliable source to use on Wikipedia. K6ka (talk | contribs) 21:13, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Younus Mahmood is his correct name on his passport.

The source is his passport. His name is spelt Younus Mahmood in english. I am one of the broadcasters and graphics builders and we just did the AFC Cup Draw in Sydney with him and we had to get his passport to confirm the correct english spelling of his name. The rest of the internet is actually misspelling his name. I cannot cite the source any better than that I have seen his passport. — Preceding unsigned comment added by David.cherrie (talkcontribs) 02:44, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That would be original research, which Wikipedia prohibits. A reliable source must identify this and report on it before we can include it in our encyclopedia. K6ka (talk | contribs) 11:37, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So that means you will continue to mislead the public and wikipedia will continue to be wrong even though I and my team have seen his passport to help other people from getting his name from on broadcast? This is absolutely ridiculous that I have the most correct source yet you are ignoring it. What if he wrote to you and told you how to spell his name?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.187.90.20 (talk)
For the very last time, Wikipedia requires a reliable source to back all its statements up. Wikipedia cannot accept original research. You will need to get a reliable third-party source to report on it BEFORE you can add it to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a collection of information from other sources - it is not a source in itself. Rather, it is a collection of sources. If you claim that the person personally told you that it was a mistake, we cannot include it in our encyclopedia because you can't actually back that up. Sources, sources, sources! K6ka (talk | contribs) 11:11, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Would a photocopy of his passport be a credible source then? A letter from Mahmood be a credible source? Would a video or frame from our broadcast with his name on the LED screens in the background and a super lower third of his name would be a credible source? Look at all the websites including the FIFA website that has his name spelt correctly as Younus Mahmood. http://www.fifa.com/world-match-centre/photos/galleries/gallery/198/249/8/#1982480 101.168.255.251 (talk) 11:31, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not exactly. Wikipedia generally relies (and favors) secondary or tertiary sources. A letter or passport would be a primary source. So you basically need to get the attention of something like a newspaper to report on it, have them write an article on it, and then you can cite it on Wikipedia. K6ka (talk | contribs) 11:28, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wait a minute... now I'm thinking we're just barking up the wrong tree here. How come all the references for the Wikipedia article say "Younis Mahmoud"? Even his Twitter is "Younis". Perhaps you're getting the wrong person here. K6ka (talk | contribs) 11:48, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
His actual name is in arabic, however it was translated to the english language and characters wrongly. Its why you see his soccer jersey sometimes say Younis, Younes or Younus. He is still learning english and when he created his twitter went off a wrong translation of his name. Broadcast and FIFA have the correct spelling of his name on file which is Younus Mahmood which is what is on his passport. I will post a few screen shots of the broadcast we did that has his name spelt in a super on it that went to 40 million people around Asia and the Middle East and cite that as a source. A live telecast to 40 million is as good as a newspaper source that we spelt his name correctly.— Preceding unsigned comment added by David.cherrie (talkcontribs)

Once a news broadcast has been made and a news article has been written that we can link to, then you may change the name and add the citation. Don't jump the gun - Wikipedia is allowed to be imperfect. K6ka (talk | contribs) 00:29, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
