Guinness Book of Records and oldest university

[edit]

Hello. please don't misrepresent what sources say The Guinness Book of Records does not say that Al Quarayine is the oldest university in the world, what it says is that "the oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution in the world is the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco" [1]. And even that is totally wrong since the oldest still existing educational institutions in the wrold that have been in continuous operation since founded are all in Europe, and were all founded as Christian cathedral schools, with the oldest ones being The King's School, Canterbury, founded in 597AD, King's School, Rochester, founded in 604AD, and St Peter's School, York, founded in 627AD. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 12:04, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I struck the first part of my post since I was unneccessarily harsh. Sorry about that. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 12:10, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Thomas.W:: No problem, I understand. I responded in the article talk since I believed it's part of the broader discussion there. Let me know though if you prefer to continue the discussion here instead, or to separate both discussions (the general one and the Guinness one). Samer.hc (talk) 13:21, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Rosguill: Thanks a lot! Apart from a more neutral tone, any advice to increase its quality to B-class? Samer.hc (talk) 14:32, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted your requested and some of the flags.

Hello,

Took out the tags regarding the neutrality and one more. I clicked on a few citations that said page not found so I cant remove it, but the tags you were probably most concerned about are gone.Filmman3000 (talk) 07:51, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Filmman3000: Thanks a lot! Samer.hc (talk) 09:30, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Organizations based in Spain by subject requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! An article you recently created, Juan de la Cierva (scholarship), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:50, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fandom

[edit]

Hi. I had to revert your edit to Fandom (website) because the citations were inadequate. One of them was self-published, and the others were forum sites or other wikis.

I myself followed the fork of Fandom's Minecraft wiki (where I was an administrator) to its new location at https://minecraft.wiki - and I would really like to see a mention of this browser extension in the article, but we can't really mention it unless reliable secondary sources have done so. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:32, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, thank you @Anachronist. I copied it to the Talk section, for the future in case new sources appear. Cozyenby (talk) 14:12, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
