A tag has been placed on File:The logo of the God Eater franchise.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Joshscorcher

[edit]

The article Joshscorcher has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Joshscorcher requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to him, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he company claims or interviewing him. You gave no references at all, and your external links were just to his YouTube site. Incidentally, there is a bot that removes Youtube and social media links, since they are not permitted.
  • This is not social media, you can't just write anything about anyone. They have to meet our notability criteria and have third-party references.
  • You referred to your reasons why the article should be kept
  • i was trying out my editing skills here — use a sandbox to practice, not an article
  • i made the "Joshscorcher" page to pay tribute to — this is an encyclopaedia, not a fan page
  • he is a good guy — Doesn't make him notable
  • a former US Marine. — Doesn't make him notable
  • Josh is already been a popular figure — Doesn't make him notable

I hope that helps Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:04, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Aww... I...understand a bit. It's too bad for me, that i can't make a Wikipedia page for a former US Marine/Brony who earned his Silver Play Button from YouTube. But one word of advice: the next you reply, please kindly post your Wikipedia notice on the Any Discussion? section of this talk page. Have you look at warning above?

Try reading it next time. Okay? StephenAlexis (talk) 14:25, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
