Heaven Sent Gaming

[edit]

Hi there. I saw your recreated Heaven Sent Gaming, but you made a procedural error while doing so. By copying and pasting from Smile Lee's sandbox you have deleted the page history. I think you should tag the page as {{db-g7}} to delete the article and then use the move function to recreate the page with the edit history intact. If you have any questions, please let me know. I step away from my computer for lunch, and the internet explodes. XiuBouLin (talk) 06:37, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Heaven Sent Gaming, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 03:30, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you. Widefox; talk 22:16, 7 November 2014 (UTC) Widefox, much obliged for this notification, I like to vote in AfD discussions. I had forgotten about this particular one about "The Hype Magazine". But, the admin made the right call in it, my vote held the incorrect stance, I had been blinded by the inclusion of WP:NOTINHERITED links. Currently most of my time here on Wikipedia is being spent on Draft:Heaven Sent Gaming and related articles to that. I don't have any connection with anything I write about here on Wikipedia, I do this as a part of my future dissertation regarding impartial investigations at The University of Hong Kong for my studies for my LLB and Civil Engineering studies. I started on this site during the summer, so I still feel new to this site, but you're correct in your assessment "clearly not a new editor", I have gone headlong into the inner workings of this site. XiuBouLin (talk) 07:47, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's significant disruption (cut/paste, sock/meat AfD voting) based around this marketing exercise (WP:ADVOCACY/promo/COI) on:

COIN

[edit]

I write this here in case you are inadvertently caught up with the COI/socks as a courtesy. Defending yourself at COIN is the right location. Widefox; talk 13:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, thank you for warning me. XiuBouLin (talk) 02:11, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, as you did at Heaven Sent Gaming, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Disruption must stop - see above Widefox; talk 13:52, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Heaven Sent Gaming article never had an issue with soapboxing or promotion, the problem was with the WP:ILIKEIT and WP:DONTLIKE overshadowing the fact that the article didn't meet policy. I don't have any interest in Heaven Sent Gaming, other than for creating some collaborative articles about the subject. I definitely welcome you to edit the drafts, there's enough information around the internet about these guys not in these drafts, on reputable sites like Gamesindustry.biz and others. Wikipedia:Wikinews has never been treated as policy, that essay doesn't explain how Wikinews works, Wikinews is not entirely "self-published", it is checked before publication for verification, newsworthiness, etc. Stating "will not be included here" in regards to this subject is extremely disruptive, I never claimed these drafts were ready for mainspace. There is nothing WP:DEADHORSE about having a few articles in Draft, as was agreed upon in ANI, there is no indication that this subject won't reach notability. Though, interestingly enough, Heaven Sent Gaming now shows up in Google's Knowledge Base/Graph, meaning that Google's algorithms have been able to find enough information about this subject. I've left a message on Draft talk:Heaven Sent Gaming

[edit]

Getting set on cleaning the drafts related to the publication company Heaven Sent Gaming. I noticed, in the article history, that you attempted to merge some of the articles in the past. During the passed couple of days of researching this company, having not heard of them beforehand, I've learned much about them. I will attempt to bring the article up to encyclopedic quality, do you have any recommendations on what should be done first? Publiology (talk) 20:12, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
