There is an active draft that is much more developed at Draft:Wicked: Part One, it is WP:TOOSOON for this topic to have a standalone article per WP:NFF, notable details can be included on the musical's article BOVINEBOY2008 17:04, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect to the musical, redirect target can be changed to the part one article when that draft is published. I don't think we will need a "film series" article when only one film is released, so that could be split out and restored to this title after second part is closer to being upcoming. Right now article says filming planned for June 2022, but as of today the 27th, I don't see anything to confirm it has actually started, so I agree with nom that this is too soon. With the musical as a valid target for the basic background information of this series, a standalone even with sourcing isn't needed. WikiVirusC^(talk) 20:02, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is, things change. It was suppose to start filming in 2021 before that even got to change to June. Delays happen all the time and even more now during COVID. It's why we have WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NFF. At this point filming may have started and we just don't have confirmation on it, but either way article was created premature without confirmation.
