Mermaid flag of Anguilla

Article(s): Flag of Anguilla

Request: Create an SVG file of the Mermaid flag of Anguilla found at http://flagspot.net/images/a/ai!1967b.gif please.

Graphist opinion(s):

Based on the FOTW description (which states that the mermaids were made up of white alone, without any black), and that they almost certainly were not wearing bras, as well as this apparently legitimate reproduction of the stamp, and that it was probably based upon this seal or whatever form of it existed in 1967, I’d base any mermaid outlines on something like the two images I’ve just linked instead of ai!1967b.gif. ¦ Reisio (talk) 05:12, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I made this flag, however i can't understand why a small black line appears in the white bachground, can anyone help. Thanks.Kingroyos (talk) 18:09, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it, there was a FlowRoot in your code. I also cleaned out some other unused code.
Files don't seem to refresh properly on Commons though today, so it looks like I didn't do anything. If you select another size (2000px for example), you should see the result. Let's hope the purging issues will be over soon. Adelbrecht (talk) 21:53, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vectorised Coat of Arms of the Philippines

The bar held by the eagle should be like this, though

Example of what the "Philippine Islands" arms should look like (Note: Silver sea lion, eagle is smaller)

I think the Castle here can be used:

Done Ok I took your concept sketch and recreated, then adapted an existing illustration (here) to hopefully meet your needs. Please let me know if there are any changes you need made.— Jdcollins13 (talk) 20:26, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is good bit of work, looks professional. It will be good to illustrate erosions, excoriations and ulceration on the Cutaneous condition page (i.e. to replace File:Ulcers, fissures, and erosions.svg). However, this means we lose the diagram of a fissure...unless a separate fissure diagram. And now I am being fussy, but also, this was to illustrate the mouth ulcer page. Mouth is mucous membrane, not skin... more cell layers in epidermis. Basing the new diagram on old diagram from cutaneous condition has resulted in a diagram of skin, not mucous membrane (shows stratum corneum, mucosa usually shown diagramatically as only 2 layers). Let me download this new file and tinker with it some. I will leave your version as people may wish to use it as a diagram of skin (for which it is perfect). Lesion (talk) 01:43, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the complement, but it seems like I didn't really solve you're problem. If there are specific changes I can make so that the image more accurately represents a mucus membrane please let me know so I can make it work for the intended article. — Jdcollins13 (talk) 17:17, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes...I tried to download the file but I only have paint and apparently this file format will not open on paint. To make the diagram look like mucous membrane, just remove the most superficial layer (c.f. with my original sketch, only 2 layers, not 3...) Much appreciated, and no worries if you can't do this. Lesion (talk) 23:54, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So in layman's terms, remove the red-ish layer? or recolor the lavender layer to match the red-ish color? — Jdcollins13 (talk) 15:37, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sry...remove red layer and it will be perfect for diagram of mucosa (oral mucosa anyway). Suggest keep version of old file as it can be used in skin articles. Thank you for your patience. Lesion (talk) 19:51, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There were some ploblems with removing the top layer, mainly that the contrast helped the lesions stand out more, I tried to combat this with outlining. Not sure how effective it was though. Let me know what you think. — Jdcollins13 (talk) 21:32, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, like that. Thank you! Lesion (talk) 10:09, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request: This graph is extremely confusing because it has 2 vertical axes showing the same measurement, but at different scales. Both vertical axes show load capacity (x1000 lbs). The vertical axis on the right, however, is specifically for the aircraft line. Please delete the vertical axis on the right and rescale the aircraft line so that it is at the same scale as the other lines. Graphist opinion(s): Image's request under progression Request taken by DePiep.. Top of orange line is 77. -DePiep (talk) 18:51, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is this issue: the orange (rh) scale is linear, but the black (lh) scale is sort of exponentional. For example, the steps 10-50 and 50-90 are not equally sized. So the drawing will not just be sqiueezed vertically. Likely it is worse, that is that the lefthand scale is three different ones too, just stacked. -DePiep (talk) 19:47, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Hope the edgyness is not a problem. I adjusted the texts a bit. -DePiep (talk) 20:36, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
