User:Adam Carr/My archive of original photographic contributions[edit]

Photogallery. Wikipedia is not a File storage area. Also user is no longer active per userpage. Soundvisions1 (talk) 05:25, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep and add a link to the gallery from the user page. Most, if not all of the files are in use on articles, so there are no files being stored. What we have here is a gallery of the authors uploads. Since the user does not have an account on Commons, there is no other way to view the users contributions in this format. If anyone wants to see the photos Dr. Carr has uploaded, this page is a great way to do it. Whether the user is active or not is irrelevant, as our contributions (and uploads) outlive our accounts. As a user interested in photographic contributions by other users, I find this page informative and interesting. Viriditas (talk) 05:35, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the images that you see on this page are actually used by real wikipedia articles for the most part. They show what the user has contributed in the way of images. The webhost argument deos not apply to this as the pictures are useful ones to wikipedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:37, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Adam Carr was a highly respected long-time contributor. This was, and remains, a legitimate use of his user subspace. I think this nomination is stupid and insulting, and I would be opposed to the proposed deletion except that I imagine Adam couldn't care less. Hesperian 05:37, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Keep - what they said. //roux   05:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Entirely appropriate and should be ENCOURAGED. Wikipedia needs more freely available images, and collecting them in userspace make it easy to find and browse, and makes attribution easier to find and acknowledge. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:46, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
