Can you please put the German article Regio Basiliensis into a draft in the English Wikipedia so that I can translate everything? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Regio Basiliensis IKRB (talkcontribs) 14:13, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

@Regio Basiliensis IKRB: Done, at Draft:Regio Basiliensis. Graham87 01:53, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

  • Language: de:Iva Höpperger
  • New name: Iva Höpperger
  • Note: please translate from German to English; I've already created site in sandbox but not able to move https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Athene81/sandbox --Athene81 (talk) 10:21, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Note by importing administrator:

Done @Athene81: I've imported and merged your translation to: User:Athene81/Iva Höpperger. You may use the submit draft button at the top to request a review, or once you become autoconfirmed you may use the "move" function yourself. — xaosflux Talk 14:51, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
    • @Athene81 and Xaosflux: I don't mind that the import request was done, but I edit-conflicted when trying to submit what I was going to say ... but I think it's still worth saying anyway. Here goes: not done, not even importing the revisions to your sandbox as I would do to comply with your request properly, as that would be too much of an endorsement of it for my taste. Firstly, she in no way complies with the English Wikipedia's notability guideline for actors as a child actor who has only been in one relatively minor film. Secondly, if you have a conflict of interest related to her or the film, you must declare it. Thirdly, your the only person who has made non-minor edits to the German article, so there's hardly any point in doing the import anyway. Graham87 14:54, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
      • @Graham87: I agree, that I don't think this article is ready to go, thus why I only imported to the sandbox. All of your warnings and cautions above are correct. If the page does go anywhere, having the attribution of the original shouldn't hurt - this should certainly not be taken as a quality endorsement from me, in RFPI I usually err on the side of helping to increase attributions and am certainly declining to do the article creation. If this was some huge import, probably would have declined it as well. — xaosflux Talk 15:01, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Import Mouez Khalfaoui

  • Language:de to en
  • New name: Mouez Khalfaoui
  • Note: --WimaIR (talk) 13:07, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Note by importing administrator: Not done; we can't import a non-English article straight into the article namespace. Honestly if you can't figure out how to request an import with the appropriate template, you shouldn't really be translating articles;. Please wait for an experienced Wikipedia editor to translate the article for you, especially if you have a conflict of interest. Graham87 17:13, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

  • Language: es:Francisco Izquierdo
  • New name: Francisco Izquierdo Ríos
  • Note: Please let me know if I'm translating too fast or these pages aren't relevant to the English Wiki - I'm following what the Content Translation Tool is suggesting. --ThadeusOfNazerethTalk to Me! 05:21, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
  • Note by importing administrator:  Done ... you're not going too fast ... and any topic is OK for the English Wikipedia ... but imports really aren't that necessary here unless you have some sort of special need to preserve authorship information ... the edit summary provided by the content translation tool is fine for licensing purposes. I will do imports from other language Wikipedias but I far prefer doing them from old Wikipedia databases. Graham87 17:31, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Gotcha, thank you for letting me know - I'll hold off on requesting imports in the future unless there's something funky, then. ThadeusOfNazerethTalk to Me! 18:34, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

Wenn möglich die Seite zusätzlich noch auf English übersetzen.--Bado25 (talk) 15:50, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

@Bado25:  Not done I'm assuming you want this to come from dewiki to here. You will need to make the translation first before we can import the history. — xaosflux Talk 17:27, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
It´s on my Page, but I need help (Infobox?)--Bado25 (talk) 22:34, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Done @Bado25: I've imported the history for you to User:Bado25/Željko Balen. For general help on how to edit an article you may try to ask at Wikipedia:Teahouse. — xaosflux Talk 01:05, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

could you please help me with this? thanks

  • Note by importing administrator:

Should I move the article to the Lemma "Non-random segregation of chromosomes" now? Or is there another reason, why the destination selection is not accepted? I guess I should wait anyways. Sciencia58 (talk) 11:42, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

{{on hold}} @Sciencia58: you can do the move now, we'll follow up with the other mechanics. — xaosflux Talk 14:53, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi, still a bug? Did I something wrong? It's my first import. Kind Regards DeniseT93 09:09, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Best, --Therrmannmpe (talk) 13:09, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

still a bug? Or did I something wrong? it's my first import so not sure whether I did everything correctly? Cheers, --Therrmannmpe (talk) 09:00, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

@Therrmannmpe: it will likely be fixed this Thursday - sorry for the delay! You may copy-paste the current version to your sandbox to start working on the translations and we will import the history as soon as this is ready. — xaosflux Talk 17:02, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I copy-pasted it into my sandbox, so you can import the history now. Thank you! --Therrmannmpe (talk) 08:35, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

@Therrmannmpe: I see your version at Draft:Frank Eisenhauer - we will complete the import soon - don't let the pending history import hold up anything else you are working on in the meantime. — xaosflux Talk 14:55, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for the update. You will let me know when the import is done, right? Does import mean that the article will be also online then? Because I read somewhere that it could take up to four months until a new article is published? Best, --Therrmannmpe (talk) 09:59, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

@Therrmannmpe: yes we can. Also, history import is only that. To move your article from Draft to Mainspace, you can either have someone else review it, or you can be bold and just do it yourself if you think it is ready. You are never required to have your article reviewed first, though it is often helpful. — xaosflux Talk 12:14, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Done @Therrmannmpe: the import is done. — xaosflux Talk 14:19, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
I hope I'm not to demanding, but is there any progress on this issue which stalls the transfer? (sorry I'm not familar with MW deployment) --MyRobotron (talk) 19:04, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
 Doing...xaosflux Talk 14:21, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Done @MyRobotron: the technical issue is resolved and your import is ready here: User:MyRobotron/Tello. Best regards, — xaosflux Talk 14:23, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

  • Language: de:Tynset (Roman)
  • New name: user:MunichMic/Tynset (novel)
  • Note: I've only translated the opening section so far: Tynset is a lyrical work of prose published in 1965 by the German writer Wolfgang Hildesheimer. Often described as a novel, although not by Hildesheimer himself, it relates the thoughts of an insomniac over the course of a sleepless night. The central theme of Tynset, one of Hildesheimer’s major works, is resignation in face of an absurd world. The first-person narrator from Tynset is also found in other works by Hildesheimer, and displays similarities with Hildesheimer himself. The work is named after the Norwegian township Tynset, which the narrator envisions as a destination.

The book was a bestseller upon publication, attracted strong attention in the contemporary press, and was translated into several languages, but could not achieve the popularity of Hildesheimer’s Lieblosen Legenden. Hildesheimer was awarded the Bremen City Literature Prize (Literaturpreis der Stadt Bremen) in 1966 for Tynset. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MunichMic (talkcontribs) 07:44, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

Note: @Graham87:Thank you for your quick reply, yes please import it into my userspace. Prof. August Reinisch, my boss, has sent me data in English that I should publish on Wikipedia, therefore I need the import. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ortner0712 (talkcontribs) 10:02, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

@Ortner0712: Done, at User:Ortner0712/August Reinisch. However, please read the plain and simple conflict of interest guide, as it sounds like it very much applies here. Graham87 14:39, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
