Template with no ostensible purpose, no tracking categories, adds no value to the artist nor to Wikipedia Fiddle Faddle 20:57, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Procdural close Userboxes (regardless of namespace) are supposed to be discussed at MfD. That said since these are harmless "This user is a fan of musician X" type boxes they should all just be userfied because they don't really belong in template space, per WP:UM and WP:UBXNS. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 21:16, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong venue, this appears to be a userbox and should be nominated at Wikipedia:MFD. Also @No Men Are Allowed You should read Wikipedia:WAX as that is an argument to generally avoid in deletion discussions. Aasim (talk) 05:29, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Barely used template. Most free images are uploaded to Commons anyway, so... Aasim (talk) 00:21, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It's needed to standardize the few instances that need it, usually in preparation for uploading to Commons. If or when the image is imported to Commons, having the same template helps to preserve the work that went into establishing the rationale. • Keep useful for consistency with Commons. Elli (talk | contribs) 07:13, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. It has its uses in free files, which we don't always transfer to Commons for various reasons. It can also be used on semi-free files (such as {{PD-USonly}}) that can't be hosted on Commons. Lastly, all kinds of non-free files could use it, like {{Photo of art}} and simply things like File:RockPaperShotgunWebsite.png this. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 02:00, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Has a use in general, and could be useful for when a file should be uploaded here instead of Commons. But I would note that by using the template de minimis or de minimis non curat lex meaning "The law does not concern itself with trifles", we are essentially saying that the file is free but contains a non-free element, however its use is so trivial it would not be considered copyright infringement, and thus its freeness would not be inhibited, so this should not really be used on non-free files.
