Usability rollout

As announced last week, the rollout of the new interface has begun and Wikimedia Commons was switched April 6 at 8:00 UTC. No major problems have been encountered so far.

Other changes

Bug 22041 about problems with scaling GIF images was finally fixed and closed. The behavior is now as intended and only large animations are no longer thumbnailed.^[1]
The default thumbnail-size of images was changed from 180 pixels wide to 220 pixels wide on the Commons, following a similar change on the English Wikipedia in February.^[2]
All protected pages now have a "Submit an edit request" link on the View Source tab (shown instead of Edit This Page if the user doesn't have permission to edit that page). The link takes users to a form to help them request an edit be made.^[3]

DASHBot (Task 9) – Rescale non-free media in Category:Non-free_Wikipedia_file_size_reduction_request
Kotbot (Task 5) – Add infoboxes to articles on Romanian communes
EarwigBot (Task 10) – Combines {{DYK talk}} into {{ArticleHistory}} on talk pages where {{ArticleHistory}} is already being used.
EarwigBot (Task 9) – Tags files whose extension does not match their MIME type, with {{rename media}}.
EmausBot – Searches for possible interwikis
DASHBot (Task 10) – Find orphaned fair use files and tag them for deletion.

DASHBot (Task 3.14) – Update wikiproject's work-list with articles that are listed as unreferenced BLPs (Opt in bot)
TedderBot (Task 4) – Adds wikilinks inside {{Anime voices}} template
FrescoBot (Task 4) – Checking and fixing broken section wikilinks
SheepBot – Adds {{dead end}} to dead end pages
EarwigBot (Task 12) – Adds |blp=yes to either {{WikiProject Banners}} or {{WikiProject Banner Shell}} on talk pages where {{WikiProject Biography}} is used along with |living=yes and {{BLP}} is not used.
Rfambot (Task 2) – Updates Infobox data of RNA related articles
InactivityEmailBot – Emails inactive administrators asking them to voluntarily give up access if it is no longer needed.

WildBot (Task 6) – Adds banner to talkpages for issues found using Check Wikipedia.
Ganeshbot (Task 4) – Create 600 new species stub articles under the genus Conus using World Register of Marine Species.
MuZebot (Task 2) – Automatic WikiProject notifications on members' user talk pages in the form of announcements, dispatches, or newsletters.
KingpinBot (Task 3) – Removes Category:Wikipedian usernames editors have expressed concern over from user/talk pages of blocked users.
