Lapland in Norway?

[edit]

There is no Lapland in Norway, has never been. As name for Northern Norway presumably invented for tourism marketing. In addition, the name Lapland is derived from the obsolete and pejorative term "Lapp". Sápmi, land of the Sami people, is no the standard name. --Erik den yngre (talk) 14:59, 6 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I rewrote the lead and moved the links to Norway and Russia to there. –LPfi (talk) 16:36, 6 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
