It was a very easy!

It was a very easy and simple web based application. Have all your serial and IMEI numbers handy when completing your application. The cost of the 3-device package was very reasonable at £20 per month. I looked for stand alone insurance since my new contents cover insurance doesn't cover phones. It's becoming increasingly common due to the high incidence of loss and theft these days I guess. I hope I never need to claim, but I do have peace of mind.

Glad to see them go

Very happy that I cancelled this insurance. I just spoke to a chap called Lucas and he confirmed that one of the policies I had purchased was void because the value of an iPad mini cellular 256gb 2021 was not accurate.

There was no option to input an accurate value. Lucas explained that if you input the device details manually you can specify an accurate value.
I feel mislead at the time of purchase and this experience has soured me on this organisation.

Two stars because the staff I have spoken to were pleasant.

Edit : 44 minutes after the review was posted publicly a request for information has been made, if you do not respond within three days the review is removed. Downgrade to one star.

First of all, please be informed that when we requested your information, this was because your review was organic, so we had no way of identifying your details or policy information. Therefore we requested your details so we could assist you. We have no control over the methods used by Trust Pilot.

Secondly, while we appreciate your comments, we must place all gadgets into the correct pricing brackets, so a fair value can be applied to calculate an accurate premium. If a gadget is not specifically listed, there is the option to manually enter the value of the device. This must be a fair an accurate representation of the value of the device.

We are sorry if you felt this was misleading in anyway.

Bad service

I damaged my phone. It took 2 working days for them to even review my claim. After uploading all documents requested I was offered a switch out and was informed that after receiving the damaged phone I would receive a new device within 24-72 hours. When they received the phone I received an email to say due to the high value of the device they needed to send it to Honor for a repair and I would receive it back within 12-14 business days. I don't understand how they have changed from a switch out to a repair when they would have known the value of the device when I first put my claim in!

Great service

Was getting frustrated with the website as I couldn't figure out how to close an old policy, with dread logged onto the chatbot to try and get it sorted that way, ended up being connected with Kevin who shut down my old policy and issued me with a refund in literal seconds. These guys are absolute life savers

These guys are absolute life savers. I had a brilliant experience from their side after I suffered an injury while Skiing. They took care of everything. Thank you very much and sorry it has taken so long to write this review.

Claims dealt with very well

This company is good. I had a claim and it was dealt with and resolved very straightforwardly, and the staff on the phone were always helpful and clear.

If you need a replacement phone, you have to send off your damaged one first and be without it for a few days, which is not as good as having a courier swap on the doorstep, but otherwise everything is good. I like the simplicity of the policy, easy to understand.

The young lady was a very polite customer service advisor, well briefed and very informative.

Insured gaming laptop!

Decided to use these guys to insure my Gaming Laptop after I realized my manufacturer warranty was only for 1 year and not 2.

Process was super simple and easy. Uploaded proof of purchase with no problems at all; I even made a typo on device model and it was sorted out within 5 minutes with a quick call.

I'm not sure on the claims process yet, but everything else was brilliant - hopefully I never have to use it!

This insurance was very comparable to…

This insurance was very comparable to others for the same product. Website very easy to use. I also had the option of paying in full, monthly or up front.
Great service once done the paperwork was there online immediately.

I made a DOB mistake on my application…

I made a DOB mistake on my application for travel insurance, noticed last night and emailed not long before they closed. I received an email that night asking for the correct details . Following morning I received email for new documents. No fee , no hassle , great customer service.

Just what I needed

Being new to the Apple ecosystem, I believe that it is extremely important to protect my wares. Having checked a multitude of possible providers of gadget insurance cover, I finally settled to go with Switched On. They offered instant cover and provided exactly what I was hoping for especially the e-Wallet cover that many providers did not offer. I’m happy with the monthly payments, so a win/win situation.

The whole process navigating through the website was easy, simple and without fuss. Extremely helpful and clear from start to finish.
