About us
We, at WWF, believe that humans can live in harmony with nature. In India, we’re studying snow leopards in the Himalayas, tracking tigers in the Terai and Kanha Pench corridor, working with businesses to develop green modules and with communities to find ways to reduce their dependence on forests, among many other projects. There’s a lot more that we do – and we need people with heart to help us do it. Follow us for the latest adventures and openings at WWF-India

#SharkAwarenessDay The demand for shark fin is one of the biggest reasons for the species' decline. Between 2010 and 2022, TRAFFIC found 17 seizures of shark derivatives reported in India, with 82% being fins. That's over 15,000 kg of fins! TRAFFIC, a leading NGO working globally on trade in wild animals and plants, is using creativity and technology to curb illegal shark fin trade. TRAFFIC operates in India as a division of WWF-India. Help us raise awareness this #SharkAwarenessDay! Movies may portray #sharks as indiscriminate killers but you are more likely to be struck by lightning than get attacked by a shark. These ancient creatures are crucial to ocean #ecosystems, and their populations are declining. Spread the word and help drive action to protect these vital #predators.
